Yes, but agree with prev. posters... needs to be new content and new features... not paying for the tweak-set type expansions.

I'd pay for an expansion that had some pre-defined content that was not subject to change due to some backroom whim...

and/or suddenly shoved to the back shelf,

and/or farmed out to a 3rd party.

Yeah... I ask alot... bite me. Cool

Would you pay for two new ships, some unnecessary reskins, minor new features and balance changes?

I would gladly pay for a substantial expansion with exclusive content. Not for what CCP calls an expansion, which I call a "patch".

Yes - $49 - for PvE expansion, no for PvP "expansion" - because PvP content is worthless (check LoL / World of Tanks / APB Reloaded / War Thunder / Star Conflict / etc. etc. etc. F2P PvP games).

edit: I see 31% voted "yes". That means CCP could sell 500k * 31% = 155.000 copies of expansion * $50 = 7.500.000 arguments against those who vote "no".

Yes but how many people just wont bother playing if they had to pay $50 for Rubicon?

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

Ha , It is so easy to tell the ones who read the post and the ones who did not.
To all the people who said dumb **** like "i pay for expansions every month"

That is why we get zero expansions. They are patches that they give names to.
There is very rarely content in these CCP "expansions" .
Moving stats around and fixing bugs is not a expansion.
It is a Patch.

And I know I am not that broke that I would not fork over some money to CCP for a solid patch that really adds content to the game. Not only would we get more content, It would help CCP out also.
Just stop going eating so damn much and you can afford a one time cost for real content and not a patch where they are moving stats around.

Maybe some of us presuppose that a paid expansion would be an Apocrypha-type real expansion. Trinity taken together would certainly qualify. CCP is a tiny developer. It's amazing they can do what they do with such a limited budget and development team atm... but I think the assumption the OP made was that such expansions would be meaty. ...pretty sure the "yes" crowd assumed the same. Get out of the "EvE box" and join us ftw.

I don't see why CCP can't do what Chris Roberts is doing. Seems to work for him.

This.

.. also i would pay/PLEX for HIRES TEXTURES WHICH WOULD LOOKS LIKE FROM SECOND DECADE OF 21. CENTURY and not from the 90s. We have Geforces and Radeons with GIGABYTES of VRAM for F sake. Evil

Which everyone can afford cuz no-one that plays EVE is on a low income.

Now going by the definition of the word expansion, it would seem to me that all these free "expansions" are nothing but revamps.
ex·pan·sion
noun
1.
the action of becoming larger or more extensive.

There have been a few actual expansions but mostly we see just revamps..
I think CCP needs to come out with an real expansion that opens up new parts of space. adds a new class of ship.
And a new types of PVE/PVP content..

and would you be willing to Pay for an Expansion? Give feed back and vote.

Someone asks this question every few months.
The answer is always no.

CCP even says they don't want to make us pay for expansions.

CCP addressed this well with the optimization settings imho. I only build a serious high-power system every 5 years or so. Never had a problem.

We already do, but no I wouldn't be interested in paying for an expansion, that would suddenly divide this one shard universe really. Suddenly there would possibly be pilots unable to fly to some place, or not use a range of ships/modules because they didn't pay for the expansion.

I really dislike that idea. The current model of a monthly sub that includes the expansions are way more suitable for the good of the game imo.

depends on price, and depends on what content i can't access if i don't pay.

if i didn't buy rubicon would i no longer be able to fly interceptors even though i can now? etc.

Yay, this account hasn't had its signature banned. or its account, if you're reading this.

I think our understanding of what EVE is seems to be the issue. My view is that EVE online is the core subscription game and CCP are patching it every 6 months or so. CCP are also expanding EVE:

Dust is an expansion you pay for.
Valkyrie is an expansion you pay for.

I'd pay to play Valkyrie so I suppose my answer is yes but I can't vote owing to the limited way you've configured your voting options.

What he said.

Either you make purchasing the expansions mandatory, but then you are just increasing subscription fees but charging them twice a year.

Or you split the universe into people who have the expansion and those who don't, and I don't even have an idea how that would work.
