At the request of Lord Ibrahim, Holder of Dar al-Barakah, the following is to be submitted to the public record:

Ministry of Internal Order - Security Division

By request of Lord Ibrahim, Holder of Dar al-Barakah the following is to be brought to the attention of the relevant legal, security, administrative, and record-keeping authorities of the ministry:

On 30-9-115 Lord Ibrahim received a petition from commoner Arbyd Hadear which alleged that a minor holder under his tutelage, Turid Ornat, retained a number of ninth and greater generation slaves (including a relative of Mr. Hadear) despite the fact that he would have no legal or scriptural basis to do so. The seriousness of the claim necessitated an immediate investigation by the Master of the Archives and the Lord's Comptroller. Review of the relevant records revealed alterations and inconsistencies beginning in the year 111 which were clearly evident of a plot of deception carried out at the direction of Turid Ornat in order to continue to secure the services of slaves who had rightfully earned their freedom. As this was in contravention of the 25-12-110 Royal Proclamation by Her Imperial Majesty Jamyl I representatives of his Lordship were dispatched to the estate of Turid Ornat. Upon his confession in light of the evidence he was taken into custody along with a scribe responsible for the Archive forgeries.

Of the fourteen slaves on the estate nine were founded to be eligible for release. They are being compensated for all labor performed after they should have been freed and are being awarded damages ad quod damnum . A further three slaves which had been sold to other holders were located and were similarly removed.

In accordance with the precedent set by the ministry in the case of Ardash Korta his Lordship has revoked Turid Ornat's title and seized his lands and properties and sentenced him to slavery. The proceeds of the sale of Ornat and his former properties are expected to finance the former slaves' recompense. For crimen falsi the scribe has been sentenced to death.

In addition to the ministry, the relevant record keeping and genealogical authorities have been notified.

Private Secretary to Lord Ibrahim

So should it always be to those who would do harm to the name of the Holders with their unjust actions. The Empress's wisdom shines on us, and it falls to us to enact her will. Her wisdom is reasonable and absolute, in this matter especially, even if you are not a believer. After so many generations, if you have not taught a people to be Godly, then you have not taught.

I believe this suits very much the needs of both the Letter and Spirit of Law.

More evidence of the Theology Council's flawed reasoning, condemning multitudes to generational slavery, when it is Clearly Written that All may be Chosen.

Indeed. There is no call in this cluster other than the jailer's irons for those who drag the title of Holder through the mud; sadly, such behavior was too common in history, and stubbornly persists, much to the detriment of Amarr and Matar alike.

Agreed, and it is with a heavy heart that we should accept the judgement of God in that regard. So often, Amarrian Holders forget why their faith is so necessary to their roles. Without moderation, a Holder is no different than an incompetant CEO, a corrupt politician, or a thuggish tribal leader. Holders who become too addicted to slave labor forget why the Lord entrusted them with his most valuable treasure, the lives of people. That is, perhaps, what makes them all the worse than those other scourges of government. The bad Holder has so much more at stake if he decides to neglect his responsibility.

Thankfully, as Lord Ibrahim has demonstrated, every community has a method of self correction. Some might consider our correction methods too severe, but given what his responsibilities entail, slavery and execution would be light sentences. It is good to see justice met out, to remind Holders that their title is not a vanity, but a solemn responsibility. One that has righteously significant consequences should a Holder put himself above the law of the Amarr or the Word of God.
