I am not a "pro" pvper...not even close, but hopefully you get at least half the amount of fun and excitement I did out of these fights. It is a game after all, we are here to have fun, I hope.

Thanks to solo pvpers and good pvpers in general that helped inspire this video. Guados, Kovorix, Prometheus Exenthal, Viper Serenity, CCP Rise, Formerly known as kil2, Rin Gon, Randy Wray, Aldap, GigoloJo, and all others who regularly go out there and gladly risk their ships to get the good fights, and good fun out of this wonderful game. =)

I like this video.

You seem to often be indecisive in how to go through a fight? For example your scram/web/dual neut tristan vs the blaster merlin. You are clearly first trying to neut his guns off, then pull range on him, then go back in to neut him? Just one that stands out.

Could you also please host it on eve-files for download? My toaster laptop doesn't like playing fullscreen Flash videos very much at any noticeable quality.

Yeah, I make many mistakes for sure, I'm far from a great pvper and yes I will get right on getting a download up. Thanks for watching.

Many times this. My desktop just shat the bed and I can't watch it on anything but this laptop. I'm really excited for a Repo. video though!

The piloting in this is absolutely horrific. Using keep at range 22km in a nomen? For ****'s sake man. In the slicer fight you kept getting caught because you had no situational awareness and just pressed orbit and went afk only being saved because you were fast enough to just breeze through their webs.

First time trying to upload to eve file. I've had to redo the upload process many times, and it's not working. I'm just going to try mailing the address provided in the rules & resources thread to get it uploaded. I apologize that it's taking longer than expected.

Well, that fight I am pretty sure I do not have links, and my point range is 24km, so as far as ranges go, I am not sure what I should have done better there. Overheat point often? Yeh, and you are right about the slicer fight. I state explicitly in the video description, that I'm no "pro" pvper and that I was just sharing the fun I had in my fights. I also have said,

The Brutix vs Ferox, Brutix, Drake was very nice!
Also fun to see you take on that Domi solo.
And all the Deimos fights at the end were very impressive.
Well... That's one heck of a great first video hehe congrats!

I liked this overall - pls god don't ever put fights vs PvE ships in a video though :/ yes I know that in some cases they can be 'challenging' fights but you rarely have an actual chance at losing your ship. Maybe this is just personal preference though.

I really liked the honor omen footage (I think its honor omen - only dcu tanked, was this done post TE changes? if so, do you run double t2 locus?)

ok, I am pty bad but I do often fly gay spaceboats of the kiting variety so I will take a stab at this:

- using tracking camera seems like a really bad decision, the most important information when kiting is knowing the position, speed, and direction of the threat ships around you. you can't do this if you're constantly locked-zoom on the guy you're shooting. this is why I end up spending the majority of my fights zooming in and out on the field (tactical overlay is optional for this, I find that it does help avoiding getting disorientated which can be deadly if you're flying in a gang and get separated)

-its not the distance that you're using keep at range, its that you're using keep at range at all, it is just incredibly unreliable for dealing with two ships or more that come towards you at different angles. in a one-dimensional fight (a fight where damage mitigation is coming solely from range, and transversal doesn't matter -- e.g. you're not dealing with arty nados / rail naga) you can generally get away with using keep-at-range 1000km and ctrl-spacing (stop command) - this is something that kovorix's video demonstrates nicely. Being ctrl-spaced most of the time will also make it easier to change direction abruptly in response to changes on field

using keep at range with MWD switched on at all times is also incredibly cap-inefficient (in that oni vs AFs / dessy you hardly had to inject if you managed your mwd right). You know the thrasher is MWDing towards you, you can simply shut off MWD while coasting away, by the time he reaches you, you'll be mostly decelerated and can make the decision about whether to pulse MWD again, and which direction to go. Same thing when you're killing the hawk, you know he's AB fit, you don't need MWD switched on to range control against that.

-there's also some instances in which you could have used manual piloting to get in better situations in that ONI vs EUNI AFs/dessy fight. The harpy seems to be approaching you from above while the ishkur is below the plane and continues burning below. If you burn in a downwards direction you can get distance on the harpy while holding point on the ishkur

I've mixed feelings bout this clip.

While I appreciate the fact that ppl still do solo/small gang, I'm not sure EUNI is a good way of learning pretty much anything.

Your piloting was not very good. The guy few post's above explains very well why. Manual piloting is something you should start practicing. Tracking camera off, zoom in and out rapidly and often. Doubleclick manically in space to pilot your ship. Start practicing whenever you get a good situation to gank someone, who is actually alone. Start with trying to maintain damage projection range, point range and optimal incoming damage mitigation range.

Also hotkey all your active modules that you actually haveto use during fight. Also hotkey the overloadings. Hotkey your drone commands. By doing that you can leave your mouse to control the camera and the ship.

Good example of manual piloting vs. the automated piloting is, that in many cases you can outtrack and rupture in a thorax by manually orbiting as close as ever possible. If you use the orbit 500m button, he will hit you. Orbit manually at 50m etc. he will miss you.

My philosophy of solo / small gang fighting is, that is always more important to stay alive than to keep tackle / kill stuff. The longer you are able to control the field with your manouverability the more the hostiles starts to do mistakes. In the end the fight is often won by the dude, who makes less mistakes.

An old friend of mine once told, that solo/small gang pvp in eve is 25% skillpoints, 25% RL player skill, 25% the fitting of the ships involved and 25% pure luck. I'm willing to agree with that.

Keep fighting man. Keep making vids. I want you to mail me ingame the next vid you make so I'll see the improvements you done ;)

Every time I try to upload to eve files, something goes wrong, it just continues uploading for days if I let it, starts giving me negative numbers while its uploading. If anyone can contact me privately to help me upload this video for people to be able to download, it would be much appreciated.

Decent footage but seriously, never use hiphop in an EVE video, ever. It just doesn't fit 99% of the time.

EVE online is the fishermans friend of MMO's. If it's too hard you are too weak.

Good video. When you burn out your guns that are grouped. Try and ungroup them. You may have 1 or 2 still working.
