Thank you for your bug report.
The ID field only accepts numbers like: 1234567890 and not 1.0 or 1,0 or space or anything else.
I have just looked at the code and it does not look broken...
Please try to enter a single number, at tell me what happens...

EDIT:
Also: if you could tell me if you ID number is above 2147483647 or not, that could possible explain it...

I have been working on the Stockpile Tool.
Now it's mostly done and I need your input:
-Anything you can think of that could improve the tool...
-Things that could be done better...
-Bugs...

So here it is:
Stockpile Dev Build

WARNING: This is a dev build, it will crash, try to kill you, and mess up your settings.
I strongly suggest you backup your settings (see where to find your settings in the readme.txt).
And run jEveAssets with the -portable command line argument, to keep you settings safe:
Quote:
java -jar jeveassets.jar -portable

+1 on running in portable mode (I uncovered a few things that I sent to you via EVE mail).

Otherwise looks very good for a first pass - this is going to save me so much time that it's almost not funny.

Type ID 27 (rented office at a station) shows up in the asset list tab as "!27".

Stockpiles work fine at the system/region level for corporate assets within a corporate hangar, but when you tell it to look at a specific station, it fails to find anything. (Station XYZ, Owner "corp name", All flags, all containers)

One more - the "all" checkbox in the stockpile edit dialog does not actually do anything (or save its state). Selecting the "all" radio button works fine though.

@Scrapyard Bob
Guess I should have released a beta first Sad
I'll look into it ASAP and release a bug fix release...

EDIT:
1) The "All check box" makes the station/system/region contain all locations, rather then only the locations you have as assets/market orders/industry jobs
Checked = All locations
Unchecked = Only locations where you have stuff

2) ATM. I don't have a corp hangar, so I can not test properly, sadly...
I have stuff in Hangar (Delivered) that does show up correct
Will try to test it soon

3) Offices will be added in next release

EDIT2
1) Let me rephrase that:
The combo box/text field where you enter station/system/region only contains locations where you have stuff.
If you check the "All check box", it will contain all locations in the eve universe. So, you can add locations where you don't own stuff.

Ah, okay, now the "All" checkbox makes sense - I understand what you're trying to do...

A possibly slicker way, would be to initially list only the stations/systems/regions where you have assets, but add a special item to the top (bottom?) of the list saying "(show all stations/systems/regions)" which, when selected, would re-populate the list box with all of the possible stations/systems/regions. Then have, again, a special item at the top of the list saying "(show only my locations)".

@Scrapyard Bob
Okay I've now looked at the code and it has two really bad bugs:
1) Corporations items is only shown if character is set to "All"
2) Items in offices is only added for system and region (as you said)
I'll release a bug fix release ASAP. I just need to get the GUI for the "All check box" to look decent...

Sadly, there is no good way to fix this, so when it's released you need to:
1) Update accounts
2) Go trough all your stockpiles that should use a corporation and set it again
Sad

A few more minor nits (but loving the feature):

- If I add an item to a stockpile from the assets tab, it would be nice if focus would not switch to the Stockpile tab. That way I can just right-click on the next item in my asset search and add it to a stockpile instead of tab-switching.

- Every time I add/remove something from the stockpile list, the tab forgets which stockpiles that I had collapsed. Makes it tricky to work with stockpiles that are at the bottom of the list.

- There's a definite slow-down in the GUI as you get into having 200-300 items across a dozen stockpiles.

- When a single stockpile has more then 2 dozen items, the Items->Edit method gets a bit unwieldy.

- Being able to multi-select items in the stockpile window, then right-click to add to a stockpile would be handy. Right now, when you do that, you get the little stockpile quantity dialog, which doesn't actually do anything.

Story time, a.k.a. how Bob now thinks that he knows what is going on in his supply chain - which will probably turn around and bite him on the arse. Some of the stockpile lists that I now use:

Manuf (T2 Buy) - A list of all of the things like Ferrogel, Fullerides, Nanotransistors, Electronic Parts, the Carbides that I want to keep in stock so that I can make things from them. I've estimated out how many of each type I need to keep stockpiled in order to only have to go shopping weekly. Now I can run out of everything at the same time instead of running short on item A on Tuesday, buying it, then running out of item B on Thursday.

Manuf (T2 RAM) - Keeps track of my RAM stockpile so that I don't find myself short on that.

Manuf (T2 Datacores) - Same concept as the other stockpiles, to give me a quick look as to whether I'm about to run short on these. Ideally, so that I only have the minimum needed to keep the invention lines running all week without having to run to Jita or somewhere else in a panic.

Manuf (T2 Build) - A list of everything where I own the BPOs and can make the parts from stuff that I buy off the market. Such as the meta-0 items, or the additional components needed by the T2 BPC, or sub-parts that can be built from BPOs and used for multiple T2 items.

Manuf (T2 Metas) - A list of the various Meta 1-4 items used in my invention jobs, along with a desired stock level of each so that I can do at least a few days worth of invention of that particular item if the profits are good.

Manuf (PI Materials) - I keep the PI-sourced materials separate, some of it I make on my factory planets, other stuff I have to buy off of the market.

Manuf (Mineral) - The stockpile list of all of the basic minerals so that I have enough to make everything I usually make each week, plus a bit extra in case an opportunity shows up or a buy order takes too long to fill.

POS Fuel (location) - Two months worth of fuel at a particular location to fuel towers at that location.

Sales (location) - A list of what I want to always keep in stock on sell orders at a particular location. That way, when a sell order gets bought out, I know that it is time for me to put up a new one.

New wish for the stockpile color-coding:

Green - Total Stock >= Target
Yellow - Total Stock is >= 50% of Target
Red - Total Stock is < 50% of Target

That may need to be an option in the options menu, or (better) a per-stockpile setting. The thinking here is that "green = fat and happy, yellow = time to put some in the oven, red = needs attention".

2nd wish:

Add the "group" column in front of the "name" column in the stockpile list, then sort by group first then name. In some of my stock lists, I have a lot of different items listed and they end up mixed in with other types of things, which makes it a bit harder to see what is going on (without breaking it out to a 2nd list).

I have added all your requests:
http://code.google.com/p/jeveassets/issues/list
First I'll release a bug fix release with the two bugs I mentioned and a eve-marketdata bug (reported today).
Then I'll get back to all your suggestions :)

@Nolana Kane
Thank you for doing the mac magic again. :)

Is it possible to have the total value of loot shown at the bottom of the app use the reprocessed values for loot where it's better to do so rather than the item price?

That is not possible ATM.
I've added an issue with your request.

1.9.1 looks good.

On the existing stockpiles, you will have to edit the stockpile and change the character. Instead of the owner being my alt's corp, it got changed to look at the previous member in the list (an off by one error?). Let's say that the list of Owners in the drop down looks like:

Sam
Jack
Corp ABC Acme Holdings
Fred
Bob

The "Owners" field in the "Edit Stockpile" used to say "Corp ABC Acme Holdings" in 1.9.0, after updating to 1.9.1, all of the stockpiles started looking for "Jack" as the owner instead. Editing the stockpile and changing the owner back to "Corp ABC Acme Holdings" fixes the issue and is an easy work around.

(Rather minor issue - unless it indicates a deeper bug. Although it does make me ask the question - what happens if you add a new account key which jumbles the list of people in the Owners drop-down list?)
