Hmm condensed fitting window...
Totally good idea but what about all the stats?
The stats, man, the stats, like resists, cap recharge time, shield recharge time, targeting range, scan res, sig radius.
I don't look at these all the time but when i do, there they are. If they all get included you have what we have now.

Again.. I don't think it should be a priortity of theirs...

"but if there were extra dev time laying around " For me.. I'd like to see the stats bigger.. with less hovers necesarry and .. I bet they sould still fit all of that in a smaller window easily. Making it easy to read would take some finness.. epecially if they used the same font as everywhere else

(want to be clear I still don't think changing it is a priority.. just talking monitors here and my understanding how the fitting screen would appear no matter how "large" .. only the resolution is inportant?)

Isn't it really the pixels or the "aspect ratio" or something that determines it ?

My 1920 by 1080 feels smaller than my two 1600 x 1200 monitors on the side (I bought the side monitors in 2001 or there abouts for $1000 a piece ! that was when most people had CRTs !

At least they still work 12 years later !

the 1200 feels way bigger reading PDFs without scrolling and doing some flyer design etc on illustrator (amateur) .

The "bigger one is 27 inch and the smaller ones are 15 inch or something.. but like I said the smaller ones feel bigger reading (or web browsing etc) the 1080 feels like web pages in their default mode at the default resolution are only 8 " high

I live in a world of 8.5 x 11 inch PDF,s , Corporate Reports, and Commercial Property leases when I'm not playing games.. .. the "game monitor in the middle is inferior for work than the dinasours on the side !

You can't scale the fitting window.. I'd think it would be the same portion of the screen no matter if you had a 52 inch LCd TV or 15 inch laptop if they had the same aspec ratios ?

Do i have that wrong? (are the 52 inch screens the same ration of width to height but with a higher resolution than 1920 x 1080 ? )

O hay I am board let’s start a topic about something that 96% of eve don’t care about, And the only people on the forum that are responding in this topic would follow suit if the OP had said the fitting window is too small not too large.

Honestly, I do 99% of my fitting in EFT anyway, because the interface is actually designed for it. If CCP wants to make the fitting window better, they're going to have to do a lot better than simply removing the visual clutter.

The huge display of your ship model in the new fitting window is a colossal waste of screen estate.

But your mockup of a compressed fitting window is much worse than the current one.

For the amount of information displayed indeed.

There's no need of 3D ship version and be able to zoom in/out, useless stuff taking place where more important information could be shown like for instance dps graphic and mobility graphic including active boosts etc
For drones ships more informations about drones and not only the highest dps drones show on dps stats

So much to do with that window but nope it's not too big, just messy or missing important info instead of useless 3D stuff.

They can just redesign it with preset size - S, M, L and XL Shocked ("size matter"). Size can be selected from the settings so you adjusted to your needs or monitor size. My 2c

Why do you keep your fitting window open all the time? I use it to fit and check my resists with my modules active. After that I close it. Never had an issue.

What do you guys think about the size of the fitting window?

I'm finding it is a waste of space. I can't properly fit the other windows I want open with it at the same time. I find myself constantly shifting positions of windows in order to do various things in relation to ship fitting.

It cannot be re sized or made opaque. You can close the info panel on the right however that is more important to me than the other panel TBH, and it still suffers from a height issue independent of this.

Am I missing something? If not, who else agrees that the window size needs to be reduced/reducible?

"Use X 3rd party software" - Thanks, not looking for a work-around though, discussing the in-game feature itself.

So we get the same information just in a smaller area, + shows the drones =)

Right now the fitting window takes up more than half the screen in horizontal and vertical directions.
That is too big, even at 1920x1080, but especially at the lower resolutions.

I do miss the one sided part of the old fitting window, fitting to the left had your asset window to the right made fitting easier, the giant circle around gets annoying moving your asset box around a lot.

I like it the way it is. As long as you can open it and put the inventory window beside it, what else do you need?

Done my time in null sec, now I'm just a Privateer wandering around High and Low Sec.
