I don't think anyone is suggesting that concord should be tank-able except in very specific circumstances. This would probably require some sort of sov style mechanics in nearby systems to force players to actually begin the incursion in null sec and slowly push inwards. Warnings on the star map would be necessary, along with completely preventing this in constellations that include noob systems. Admittedly mistakes in setting up such a mechanic could have drastic consequences for high sec players, but having a system where players can team up with concord to drive the invaders away could lead to very interesting fights.

Players responding to players aggression other players? In what world are you living? If this was possible, Goons or any other large block would just bring in enough people to a system to reach/close in to population cap and prevent other players from responding accordingly. If at all. Burn Jita should have shown you two times now that people:

  • don't try to stop invaders.
  • just try to get on idiotic killmails
  • laugh at ships that are lost to the invaders

This attitude might change over time when certain systems are camped to absolutely not being accessible, but I doubt that.

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.

That's under current atmosphere of mechanics. But what if there was something to offer for participating, like some LPs or such.
Then maybe people would participate in more meaningful ways.
Of course there's still the other limiting issue about the system population caps.

In the past concord was not onipotent. They changed it for a reason.. peopel abused it.....

What I woudl liek altough woudl be different penalties. Cocnord coudl take logenr to respond... but you coudl then be kept hutned by the NPCs for logner time ( not a single ship) in compensation

People abuse everything, particularly in EVE.

What this idea implements is finally some ability to play defender, as opposed to EVE's well established "victim" and "aggressor" roles.

Tell me again about how every playstyle you dont engage in "doesn't require any effort" and everyone who does it needs to die in a fire. Be sure to mention about how you tried it once but it was too easy/boring/ethnic-homophobic slur.
