It would be nice to have a filter in the inventory to sort items by things like:

- tech 2 items (VERY USEFUL, please do this one at least)
- estimated value (VERY USEFUL, please do this one at least)
- ship type (cruiser/bc/bs/etc)

Some other filter types could be added as well, but these ones I think are of some importance..

thumbs up if you like :))))

Seriously? It's there already.

Came in with Unified Inventory.

Open up your inventory, and look at the bottom-left of the screen. See where it says "My Filters"? Create a new one with whatever you want.

Geeze.

How is it NOT a sort option?

You get to find all your T2/BP/ammo/etc easily.

OP is looking for, and I quote a "filter"

I dont wanna create a filter, I wanna sort things BY

I wanna have a column with for example, the estimated value
Another column with meta level
Another column with ship type

for example

It would be MUCH easier to select what I want and not want, then having to set a filter for every single item Im looking for basicaly.

thumbs up if you like :))))

No need to have that.

Do what I do and use station containers. I gave several in my home system: Weapon Systems. Shield / Armour. Salvage. Loot (to sell). Dog Tags. Etc...

So much easier and all organised Smile

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

You dont understand.
I use station containers too.
This is a different thing, for when you have thousands of items off the market, they dont get in station containers on their own do they? No they dont.

1. Create specialized filters
2. CTRL+A
3. Drag to appropriate container
4. There is no 4, because your inventory is already sorted!

Why does my stuff get into station containers on its own, then?
You're just doing it wrong.

Well - it's sort of already exist - except for the value option.

If you open your inventory window, you have the window bar on top where you can pin, minimize and close the inventory window and a bit further down a filter box.

Between those two you have 3 almost identical square icons.
If you hover over them, you get there names (from left to right: Icons, Details and List).

Click on either Details or List and you get a row of columns. Think the default is: Name, Quantity, Group, Size, Slot, Volume. You can sort your inventory or ships by clicken on each colums name.

You can however, by right-clicken on one of the columns names, get a context menu that wil allow you to remove that column and also insert 3 new columns: Category, Tech Level and Meta Level. Hurra!

That being said, it is a 1000 times easier to just use the filter option as you have no control over, in what order it wil sort each column.

Yes, yes you can. You can set a min/max value for stuff to show up.

That's ok, since the price will be wrong anyway. Everything else is there, though.
