Hey folks, been gone awhile, just getting back into the game. When I left I remember getting ready to buy a hurricane to start doing lvl3 missions, however, never got around to it. So I just bought my hurricane, could someone give me a basic lvl3 fit. I'm guessing I'll be doing lvl3 missions for a month or so, probably longer until I can get into a BS to start lvl 4's.

Anyways yeah, just a fit I can use to start lvl3's with. I can get tech2 everything except guns, but that is only like a week away.

Thanks much, great to be back.

This should work

Medium Armor Repairer II
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Armor Kinetic Hardener II
Armor Explosive Hardener II

Cap Recharger II

Depends heavily on your skills. If you're a relatively low-skilled character, you'll want an active armor tank, like this:

[Hurricane, New Setup 3]
Medium Armor Repairer II
Armor Kinetic Hardener II
Armor Kinetic Hardener II
Armor Thermic Hardener II
Gyrostabilizer II
Gyrostabilizer II

Cap Recharger II
Cap Recharger II
Tracking Computer II
10MN Afterburner II

425mm AutoCannon II, EMP M
425mm AutoCannon II, EMP M
425mm AutoCannon II, EMP M
425mm AutoCannon II, EMP M
425mm AutoCannon II, EMP M
425mm AutoCannon II, EMP M
Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Torrent Assault Missile
Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Torrent Assault Missile

Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I
Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I
Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I

Hobgoblin II x5

Cap lasts 12m 45 secs with everything running, if it gets low, turn off the AB, although that really shouldn't be necessary. Downgrade t2 to t1 where needed, and use mission specific hardeners in place of the kin/therms.

On the other hand, if you have great BC skills and can put out a lot of DPS, fast, you can use a shield buffer hurricane and blast through the mission before your shields drop very much at all:

[Hurricane, New Setup 4]
Gyrostabilizer II
Gyrostabilizer II
Gyrostabilizer II
Tracking Enhancer II
Tracking Enhancer II
Beta Reactor Control: Shield Power Relay I

Large Shield Extender II
Invulnerability Field II
Invulnerability Field II
10MN MicroWarpdrive II

425mm AutoCannon II, EMP M
425mm AutoCannon II, EMP M
425mm AutoCannon II, EMP M
425mm AutoCannon II, EMP M
425mm AutoCannon II, EMP M
425mm AutoCannon II, EMP M
'Arbalest' Heavy Assault Missile Launcher I, Torrent Assault Missile
'Arbalest' Heavy Assault Missile Launcher I, Torrent Assault Missile

Medium Core Defence Field Purger I
Medium Core Defence Field Purger I
Medium Core Defence Field Purger I

Hobgoblin I Ix5

Has a MWD to quickly get close, puts out tons of DPS, and your shield recharge should be enough to get through the small DPS which L3's send your way.

Awesome thank you for those. I'll look between those two, compare it to the skills I have and go from there. I was Caldari for a bit so I know i have more into Shield skills than armor. So I'll probably go with that one. Although I prefer fighting from afar, so I'll probably start training for to be more of an armor tank.

Thanks again, really helps.

For those looking to do level 3's in low sec and don't want to feel naked when potential hunters/prey turn up the standard shield nano cane fit does most angel level 3's fine. The fact your are mission running also makes great bait ^^ and if you DSCAN a target down to a celestial there is no need to reship to blow its head off while they are thinking you were mission running and harmless.

The other cane I use is a fast locking arty cane, level 3's are a walk over as are most level 4's without tackle on the warp in (although as with all BC's doing level 4's, expect to be there for a while). This latter ship is better than the nano cane for completion time due to it's range compared to an AC boat but with no point you aren't going to be fighting would be hunters or prey unless they are flying something with a tiny level of ehp, primarily because they'll just warp off before your second shot goes off.

This is for missions against angels mind you so my strongest natural resists are what is shooting at me.

I'm currently cross-training from Caldari, and I am doing level 3 missions with this fit.

I found the tracking computer + tracking script to make a huge difference over a third cap recharger.
