New e-mail scam?

I'm pretty sure this is a scam looking at the From e-mail address since it simply said "sisi-support" in the main e-mail and the e-mail pane shows
sisi-support; 77%sisi-community; 26%sisi-mods; 101

and I'm not going to "show content" to see where the link takes me, but the main issue is that I got this a day after an actual petition was closed, so that leaves me to wonder how they got this information so look out folks!

You get these emails after you close a petition, without seeing the emailadress its hard to see if it is a scam or not, but CCP do send out similar mails.

I already recieved an E-mail from support@eveonline.com, and its blindingly obvious its not from CCP because the e-mail is from "sisi-support; 77%sisi-community; 26%sisi-mods; 101", please get reading to at least lvl 1

Petitiion CCP about it. That way you can be absolutely sure.
Never heard of a response from "sisi" tho, that's the test-server.
Rather safe than sorry, good call.

You can report things like this by forwarding it to security@ccpgames.com, and CCP Sreegs will look at it, if you believe it's not legit. Smile

Received one as well. The link looks legit, but the email sender sure as heck doesn't. Since I've posted a lot of petitions and bug reports hard to tell what's legit....

stealing peoples mmos info is the crazy now. before it was spam from fake blizzard sites. now its pretty much every and all mmos you can think of that have fake sites trying to rip off peoples accounts. you can thank the chinese for this. its basically gold farmers trying to get a hold of your crap.

You can thank people who buy and support "gold" trading from unofficial sources. IF they didn't give those people money, those people wouldn't have incentive to steal assets to turn them around to sell them.

Got one of these as well. Funnily enough, it is exactly the same compared to the legit one I received concerning a recently closed petition of mine, including the embedded link's URL.

At this stage, and with no link to a dubious website, I assume it's some sort of database SNAFU on CCP's side of things.

Any news on blackops changes?

i like all that im seeing int he expansion. but ive had a blackops for almost a year now and have not been able to use it in combat.

Thing costs almost as much as a capital and has less EHP then a freaking BC.

Just ignore these emails. Some of them were probably legit from the perspective that we sent them, but not legit from the perspective of you shouldn't have gotten them. WHOOPS!

I want to add that I read every single one of the emails that gets sent to me and I know it sucks to get phishing emails. I'm working on some new tricks and we'll talk about them as soon as I can get some Guardtime.
