Bought game time, was excited to play, but stuck in re-stall processes forever.

I tried deleting everything from steam and removed it wholly, and re-downloaded it, but it didn't seem like it's downloading (installing!?) the game.

Since I cannot download the game from Steam.

Fine. I spend 3 hours to download the MAC game client on eveonline.com after i trashed everything related to eve online on my mac pro. Well dragged to the application,,,,copying,,,,done! Then I click on the game, it said " "EVE Online" is damaged and can't be opened. you should move it to the trash". Then I tried re-install again same thing had happened.

Ok. I surrendered. Knees on the floor with tears asking for help. Help! Please! Please help!

A BIG FAT GIANT THANK YOU TO YOU for reading and solving my problem!

Cheers.

Problem sovled!

Hi - brand new player here. I was having the same problem as a lot of other people: "“EVE Online.app” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash."

I tried one last thing, and it worked. I dragged it to the trash to uninstall it entirely, and installed from scratch. This time, I made sure this setting:

System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> General -> Allow applications downloaded from:

was set to "Anywhere" before installing the game. This seems to have cleared everything up - the game runs great. Previously, I had changed this setting after installing, and it made no difference for me. It seems that this setting needed to be changed at install time.

Hopefully, this will help someone else. FWIW, I'm running it on a MBP Retina, 15", with the base processor and 8GB of RAM. The fans certainly speed up, but otherwise, it runs great.
