So, as a steam user I'll have to wait for the launcher to be fixed? Launching through exefile.exe doesn't seem to work, since I have to log in.

Never really had one, since I created the account through steam. I log in to the website using my steam account, but I obviously can't log in to the game using that.

that might get tricky but can give a shot with ur steam details once downtime has passed the launcher might be fixed though

Using the bin exefile trick it just said: "starting up in 212 secound"
So lets hope....

Not that tech savvy so not been able to locate the exefile.exe in bin, tried a search on it, no results from the computer, im in India :)

if you used default settings it might be here: C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\bin

Bin/Exe worked before DT, during DT it doesn't ... but then again it never did ...

exefile.exe didn't fix the problem for me. been getting by with other games for the time being

Could not connect to the specified address. Odds are that you have not established an internet connection, the server isn't running, or the server address or port number was wrong.

Even with no official word from CCP on the delay/reason for the problem, they will NOT make me clean my desk while I'm waiting for Eve :)

Within the EVE universe I have no interest or desire to kill other players, real life is a different story......

just be warned that using the exe file will wipe your settings sometimes, happened to me in the past and its a PITA.

Daily downtime is scheduled to occur from 11:00 to 11:30 UTC.

This is known.

Just because downtime is usually 5 minutes doesn't mean that something is "wrong" when downtime takes the entire half hour allocated :)

But … it is now 11:30 UTC and there is no official announcement of an extended downtime. So it is acceptable to start panicking in 3 … 2 … 1 …
