is probabbly one of the most beautiful game trailers ever, it made me try EVE back in 2008, and it needs a redo.

Eve has now so much more to offer, especially when the visual side is considered, and the music just fits so perfectly.
I know nothing about making movies, but there are awesome guys in the community, maybe someone is up to the task?

I know that it's a very very hard task, cause the old one is sooo good, that the criticism will be huge, but still, maybe it's worth a try.
What say you?

I think i started playing EVE because of this one aswell...

Just checked my iPod, and i still have that video flying around there to show people not knowing what EVE is, what the **** EVE is all about. Big smile

Would vote for a new version aswell.

funny, been chatting to my buddies about remaking this recently. This is hands down the best trailer for eve online ever created.

I was actually thinking of making a little contest about it. My finaces in EVE do not look that good, i could contact some big names from the game to put some isk into it though. Of course if we find few people interested.

I fully agree, with the graphics upgraded and maybe the inclusion of incursion footage

Some of the newer pilots of New Eden might not know this but EVE used to run on a Pentium II 450MHz and 64MB RAM.

With todays processing power and graphic cards that might sound hilarious and even your phones have more memory than that.
Compared to what I was playing 1992 with names like Wing Commander, Privateer, X-Wing, Tie Fighter, Conflict Freespace and a few months after EVE went live Freelancer, EVE look awesome back in the days.

Some will disagree with me, but I was there and Iived there.

EVE has changed since then and might look better, feel better but I miss some of the old things we used to have.

I remember the trailer and I was already hooked when I watched it the first time Big smile

Playing EVE on my old laptop I still feel like back in 2008 and I'm very thankful to CCP for the low details option. But, hell when I watch those movies done on some nice machines it just feels right to upgrade the trailer. Come on ppl, do it for the community, come on CCP (?!), do it to get new players.

After Christmas when I can get my new rig I am gonna take a crack it. I feel its going to be a huge project.

Also we need input peeps!

Community imput from some of the scenes, where they are in game? what systems, missions or dead space places. Be cool to have a good info thread for those of use that want to recreate it

Ok, so Christmas it is. I will be more than happy to help if able. We can start the thread, maybe organize some in game events for scenes if needed etc. Great, can't wait.
