looking for low sp ship and fit for null sec belt ratting

im looking for a null sec belt ratting ship, dont have alot of sp only like 2.5 mil sp, i was looking into the tornado and making it a sniping ship to snipe at a 100km range, and not tanking it at all, would it do with most parts being tech 1? and ill be going to where there are drone rats. otherwise any suggestions?

Cruise Raven with MJD and some Nanos maybe? The SP difference between BC and BS is not that big, but the Raven can align right after dropping, while the Tornado has to take tracking into account.

i already have a raven but i hate it, ack i hated it soo much i stoped training missiles and went into gunnery skills, thats why i was looking at the tornado, since i switched to minmatar, i wantto use the machariel someday

well i looked into possibly temporarily using missiles till i get the machariel and fits for it, i took a typhoon added a bunch of cruise missiles and some rigs and had a range of about 100 km, and no medium or low slots used, compared to using turrets and how many different tracking enhancers and tracking computers id have to use to get that range, the rest of the slots i can use for mwd or mjd, and maybe even put on a decent tank, tho tank isnt really needed for fighting from 100km range but its still not bad till i get the skills for the machariel.

you rat in missile boats or laser boats. minmatar is wrong choice because of high ammo consumption and low-ish range for autos.

Sniping tornado is bad idea because the alpha is good, but dps is ****. Go with AB Pulse Oracle instead if youre dead-set against missile boats. Glass cannon, but keep up transversal and youre OK. Personally, I would stick with missiles - heavy assaults are some of the best weapons in the game for PvE, but its your call....

As for your ultimate goal, a machariel.. pro tip: by the time you can afford a mach+fittings (3bn), you dont rat anymore (not if youre smart anyways). Machs are a larger variant of the cynnabal, and are PvP ships, and botters use em every now and again. They are not a ratting ship by design.

Another pro tip: making isk for a machariel - its not done in null-sec by ratting, it will take too long (30-40 hours of ratting). Its done in incursions (1-2 days of vanguards), by factional warfare (spin around the buttons for a day in a cheapo t1 frig and you got it), or in wormholes (i pull in 1-2bn a day for 1 hour of ninjaing sleeper sites in my workhorse tengu solo).

Frigates with a 1 day old char does perfectly fine in 0.0

Use AB to get some speed, kill small ships first, cruisers will be your nemesis, battleships can't hit you.
