Dear art team: New Golem and Paladin skins are awesome!

I'm assuming the paladin texture is broken (uv coordinates are messed up) currently?
It looks awful an nothing like other amarr ships.

What does the paladin do when its in bastion mode? Have seen videos for the Vargur, Golem & Kronos but nothing for the Paladin. Judging by the responses I take its pretty lack luster.

The Paladin has a part on the bottom that opens up kinda like a missile bay on stealth fighters like the Raptor.

Paladin animation it's just so clearly done because of lack of time, just like "i don't care, do something and move on"... In that hull there's so much options to do incredible animations. And overall that model now looks bad because of that flat middle sides...

I actually like those flat sides better. I didn't like the fender looking things on the apoc model.

every animation is great except the vargur. that little box that move to the front of the neck makes me laugh . can barely notice the wings

vargur got some glowy bits if you look slightly under the mid engines you will notice the cool glowy thing-smt Cool i sugest looking on the yt vids showing the animation because of current cammo the sisi varg uses

This is exactly the feeling I get specially because it was not "ready" when CCP rolled out the rest of the bastion animations. If you recall they were all on the test server a while before the the one for the Paladin.

It just feels like a rushed job just to get it done rolled out like you mentioned.

Personally I would have liked to see something done with the first piece that "hangs" below the ships hull would be cool to have it fold ninety degrees and "merge" with the rest of the hull to fill in that first "gap" specially because there is almost the exact amount of space there for it to do just that.

I like the idea of this new animations in this class and love the new golem design, much better than the old one imo.

That being said, CCP guys must understand the people complaining because they were expecting so much more than what has been showed so far, you guys were the ones that set players expectations so high when you said " Transformation" and mentioned the rorqual, witch is remarkably better than the ones we've seen so far.

Question : I haven't seen any head on or top down screenshots of the new golem yet, are the wings now equal in length?

I always lore wise assumed the right wing to be longer to accomodate the sensor array's on it. If the array is gone, no need for the length difference in the wings.

That's the problem. They kinda did, or let on that they would. It got everyone's expectations so high that once the real, more subtle transformations came out, most were disappointed and couldn't appreciate them.

Me personally, I was a little disappointed at first, but I got over it pretty quick. I like the transformations. Except for the golem. The hood lift thing is nice, but they missed a perfect spot for something else. On the inside on the two sides that go to the front, there's this circle with lights thing. Those could've come out like cylinders.


That would be my fault, and for that I apologizeSad - next time I will not mention anything related to visuals not to create this kind of problem.

Yes they have to be a little bit more... dramatic. I know capitals don't have a visual... maybe they should.

Honestly, Mohawk Mode doesn't cut it.

I'm fine with their visuals right now except for the Vargur needing a little bit more. Actually, just had an idea! When the Vargur transforms, that little thing under the "neck" of the ship slides forward. It could get an electrical effect between it and the part it just left, kinda like the parts that bind jumpgates together. That'd be cool...

Ytterbium, we all definitely appreciate being kept in the loop, usually the more details, the better. But next time, try to give a little more accurate approximation of what's coming rather than promising cake and giving poptarts :P

Also, looking at what you quoted me saying, I meant the Kronos, not the Golem.

They all could use a bit more "drama". Sparks and lightning from the exposed cooling rods and more of a sinister glow. Something like that could go a long way.

A part from inside of it should come out.

The Kronos they almost have correct, it should just be more. (the entire frontend should come up, exposing the blue inside ala bastion.

The Golem is good, it just needs allot more Lights on it (make those missile doors shine) Its pretty damn obvious.

The Vargur needs a little more..

The Paladin should open 4 doors.

And make these Juicy Middles of these ships shine brightly. You got that part correct with the Kronos, apply to rest.

And if you really want to keep it correct, the "glows" should match the race's central color (green, blue, red, gold).

Please keep updating Caldari ship models! you updated the minmatar stabber and the ammarian cruiser but didnt do anything with caldari or gallente. Dont forget about us! Keep up the good work tho ;)

When you look at the underside of the Raven hull, it's got that structure in the middle with all those lights around it.

When you look at the same structure on the Golem, it's dark and there aren't any lights. I wonder if this is an oversight or something that wasn't yet addressed in the build we're (still) on or if it's deliberately that way.
