How many tengus for a c4 or c5?

This would be maxed skilled RR tengus.

At least 3 rr Tengu with passive resists for C4, because typically 2 are neuted and you'll need the DPS to break the Sleepers rr.

We did C5 and C6 with 6 to 8 rr Tengu with passive resists, and the pilots switching out to capitals as needed after the site was clear to do escalations (rr carrier, no triage! - dps dread - dps dread - dps carrier). The gas and mining sites can be cleared with 2 rr Tengu (I did that all the time with 3 clients).

Oh and we used a mindlink siege warfare booster in a command Tengu.

In b4 OMG JUST SOLO TROLOLOL

But really, 3 in a C4 is the most efficient isk/hr wise. I do not know what C5 is.

A solo tengu **can** clear C4 sites. It’s possible but, IMHO, so slow that it is just not worth it. Of course this also requires great care and kiting.

Two decent ships, and tengu are very decent ships for w-space work, can also clear C4s … and clearly they’re going to be quicker than a single similar ship. Of course three tengu will be quicker than two tengu, and four-five-six quicker again.

What is most ‘efficient’ will be entirely up to you, and how you view the ‘costs’ that you’d be putting into the bottom-line of that calculation. I found two ships to be fine for my needs, but then I was soloing C4s and wasn’t really in a position to apply three DPS ships to the sites even if I wanted to.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

I would use 3 RR tengu's to run a C4, simply so that way if one gets neuted and they are shooting someone else, there will still be RR. Use a full passive midslot fit, and shield fleet boosters are always good (though a bit overkill in a C4).

In a C5, technically they can be run with 3 tengu's if you have a fleet booster. I've done it before, and you barely have enough dps to kill sites, and tank isn't really an issue as long as you all orbit a can or something (stay in range for reps though). However, if you mess up aggro, you will die. The issue isn't so much the tank, as it is the neuting - if they neut 1 guy, shoot another, then the last un-neuted guy has to rep. If you mess up the aggro though, it is likely that they will neut 2 guys and shoot the third. If you have a 4th guy though most of those problems will go away, leaving just the issue of breaking the sleeper tanks. Personally, I wouldn't want to do a C5 site with less than 5 tengu's. If you only have 3 guys availalbe though, it is possible to set up rattlesnakes with omni-resists, 2 large RR, sentries, omni's, a DLA and 3 cruise launchers. Can pump out around 600 or so dps, and 3 of them can take neuting even with active hardeners and put out enough dps to clear a site. Note - this is not 3 passive tank rattlesnakes, it is an actual spider RR chain using the high resists available from a well set up rattler. It will be quite slow though - you have been warned.

Last time I priced one of our ships it was 1.2 billion. They quickly pay for themselves, even with the rare loss. Stuff happens. We've lost a couple to Sleepers by not paying attention, unexpected PvP, and a POS with an attitude problem.

Warning: We left w-space after it got boring doing C5 4-capital escalations with these.

I developed the fit, and did the first beta testing convincing corp members it was sound. It is an evolution of the 2.5b active fit we previously used before Sleepers neuted, so the idea was to re-use as much as possible. The first revision was a tad more durable, but lacked a TP which proved to be really needed, so a kinetic amplifier and a DCU II were removed and a kinetic rig and BCU were added. Even our dreads had TP.

A siege warfare mindlinked command Tengu parked at a safe-spot goes with this. Even after the patch it was close enough to unprobeable without the enemy having scanning implants. The command Tengu isn't required for a C4.

Comment above about not being probeable.. is silly, on board scanned finds anoms, PvPers warps to anom.. mag's and Radars can be found with core probes.. so they don't need to scan you ship down.. in fact this is how they catch a lot of wh's who think they safe until combat probes come out.. .anyway.. back to topic...

Three of the below work perfectly. Its not safe with 2 as mentioned before, 1 gets neuted and the other gets shot. Scourge fury for BS and navy scourge for everything else. Dissolution Sequencer is an absolute must, saves you having to move around and if 1 member is webbed no one can move, with the Dissolution Sequencer you can hit out at 115km. Need a 3% launcher implant to make it work if I remember correctly. If memory servers correctly it cost less that 1 bil, although I have noticed CN Ballistic controllers have gone up..

You can solo some C4 sites.

You can dual RR Tengu some C4 sites.

You can triple RR Tengu all C4 sites.

The fits so far are adequate so I won't post my own.

Don't ban me, bro!
