NPC Defender Testing: Test Missiles that do 1pt of damage and/or a target dummy

I have previously noted that NPC Defenders simply do not work on fast moving missiles launched from 70+km range, and that they appear to have reduced interception rates at close range: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=3411475#post3411475 I need more data to fully flesh out NPC defender behavior at various ranges and missile speeds, and it takes a long time to collect data.

Is it possible to add Heavy Missiles that do one point of damage on the test server? A test Heavy Missile that does one point of damage and that has a volume of .003 (so I can fit 400 of these missiles in a HM launcher) would be peachy. A volume of .0003 would be fabulous (4,000 missiles per reload.) The goal is to press F1 and walk away to make data collection easy.


An alternative would be a stationary test NPC target with a 25% (or 100%) Defender launch rate and 100% resists, e.g. a monument that launches defenders. This would make testing at various ranges quite convenient.

That's not what sisi is for.

Sisi is for risk-free pvp, whining, and ban threats.

I too have noticed this with cruise missiles being launched from a golem with bastion module activated at any range.

on the other hand im getting some strange damage looses on torpedos that look like the typical defender damage reduction

are you sure its not the velocity of the ships? even cruise missile are not immune to that.

Golem cruise missiles travel at 10,575m/s. And they're even faster in Bastion mode or if you still have your T2 missile speed rigs in your Golem (around 18,000m/s or so.)

I'm trying to cherry pick a serpentis mission on sisi to verify whether NPC defenders are working.

Just tested on sisi against ye olde Core Rear Admiral. 23 of 27 missiles hit the target while I was in bastion mode in a Golem while the NPC orbited at 37.5km. Missile speed was 13,218.75m/s. So, at a minimum defenders are working in bastion mode.

However, several times I did see defenders fire, but not connect. So there is still something wrong with NPC defenders.

are torpedos immune to defender at any range? since they only fire a maximum of once per volley

started observing velocity recently and i admit that the loss is noticeable but its not so drastic like with defenders
let me tell you what i mean
im doing pirate invasion vs angels there is 1 spawn that allways gets stuck in the ruins max speed 5m/s ( the test object ) the setup t2 rage 2 tps 1 t2 riggor i get salvos on those around that 6-7k with torps but not all salvos are so good ive been getting sev that were around 2-3k with no real reason not even a defender visual or it happening after the salvo hit the ship ( it wasnt for the next salvo because it did full damage ) - someone noticed this ?

yeah i admit i wasnt to precise the damge loss occurs but it happens less often compared to tq
