Also, is there any plan to have a 3D background or will you just put a wallpaper behind and pretend you've done an amazing work ? Lol

We agree that the colour is currently too strong in the current version so this will be toned down before release.
Also, the UI colouring will change per expansion so it won't always be red.

As for the background, it will remain a static image to save on load times but a bunch of polish, including animations has still to be introduced. Big smile

any news regarding this:

"there is an issue ith it if you use 2 monitors, the ttons are centered, meaning the separation of the two screens land right in the middle of it.

the green line is where the switch is between my two screens: http://s21.postimg.org/sn4urdcp3/split.jpg

it would be nice if it was aligned to the UI wich you can offset already

please make this affected by this setting: http://s2.postimg.org/6l244xgt5/camera_offset.png "

because it is odd that there is so much unused space on one screen just to see a toon cut right in the middle ^^

thanks

The new character selection screen doesn't display the length of your skill queue, quite important information, more so than the skill in training (which is nice nonetheless). To avoid redesigning, maybe put the training skill in the same box on mouseover or the skill queue length on mouseover?

And please remove the login button. Dubble-click does not cut it. Totaly agree here.

One click to make it active and one click to log in already are two clicks...

We've now implemented the single click log in as well.
It'll hit Sisi soon.

Just to be clear, that's 1 click to select the character, and 1 more click on them to enter.
(Double click still functions as well)

We won't be removing the 'Enter EVE' (or as it should be: 'Enter New Eden') button though.

;) would require a different system, so the voice would actually change, and that would probably require five full time jobs in just replying to all the complaints from that :D

That too, anything out of the ordinary would sound terrible - and EVE players tend to have out of the ordinary names as well as combinations that would be impossible to mix without it sounding like two separate recordings. It could (COULD!) be done with synthesis, but again, anything out of the ordinary would sound terrible and if it didn't sound terrible, that synthesis algorithm for voicing would be worth quite a lot of money.

Can't really disagree with anything said. I agree that having Aura say the capsuleer name would be cool, but also agree that is a very high mountain to climb, and there's (in my opinion) more important things to throw developer at.

But it does occur to me that having Aura greet the capsuleer in a race- and bloodline-specific manner (what is said along with how it is said) would be a step-wise improvement with a manageable cost to implement. For extra points, incorporate the current station's design as an influencer on the greeting, too. (Obviously only applies to capsuleers who login while docked.)

So a Caldari Deteis in a Gallente station might get a snark-embellished greeting ("Welcome to freedom, drone-of-the-State.") Maybe hold a contest for the RP crowd to develop the scripts.

Edit: Can you please make it so that thecounter for the days remaining on subscription and the subscribe to EVE link only appears if it is less then 10 days? Showing the whole black bar only then.

We're in talks about this now regarding how to display it correctly. Smile

By the way, I find it quite unintuitive how the eve client handles the skillqueue representation within the Neocom. The skillqueue in it's window shows a full bar if there is more than 24 hours left on the queue - which is the most important info of all regarding skills - while the Neocom shows it as a percentage of the skill that's in training right now.
Can we have it do the same as the skillqueue window? Or more importantly - if not additionally - please make sure that any graphical representation (yes, there should be one) in the selection screen works the same way the skillqueue window does it.

Edit2: I just realized you implemented it the way I feared. PLEASE CHANGE IT, PLEEAAASE!!

Is there anything particularly wrong with "Training queue finishes in 36d 12h 3m 42s" as it is on TQ?

Would it be possible to always have your chars in the same order? As it is now, every time I try to log in, I have to look at all three characters to see which one is the one I want to use. Even though this takes just a second, it would be easier if the characters were always in the same order and I could click the right one just by memory.

Is there a particular design decision behind shuffling the characters around every time I log in? I could sort of understand the last character used being selected (as in TQ now), but I logged into Sisi now and the last character I played was at the end of the list.

I hate this new screen because:

1- the character I click doesn't become center (I hate to have a noob alt in the center and my main on the side of selection)

2- can't click the center character to enter game, always have to click the small button below.

3- the color scheme is bad, the red font on the orange background makes it hard to read

4- font is really small, i have no move my head really close to read how much isk i have on each character

5- the portraits are so much smaller than the one on tranq, and it was the only place where we can see our creations in all their glory.

6- the very dark background on tranq makes the characters and information stand out, rubicon one is too freaking noisy and hard on the eye!

In all honestly, it doesn't add any serious functionality beside seeing how much is we have on all chars, and it's a lot more boring than the one we have on tranq now.

also, i hate orange and red, so if you're gonna force this new char selection then at least let us be able to choose themes.

We'll be implementing the most recently used characters to the left hand side soon.

Minor point:

Could the corporation logo maintain a black background for the non-selected character - Oberon Incorporated's logo was put together to take advantage of a black background and looks horrid when it is white.

Shouldn't the placement of the characters remain consistent, regardless of who was used last? I think the character shuffle makes sense currently, because the placement is one large "on top" and two smaller bottom portraits, giving emphasis to which one was used last. However, given the "three across, all the same size" model, it would make more sense to keep the portrait where it is statically, or at a minimum give people the option to have (or not to have) the portraits shuffle around.

Enter grid and you're already dead, destined to be reborn and fight another day.

I would also prefer characters to be always in the same order (preferably by creation date).
