rupture fit

Hi am looking for a basic t1 rupture fit i am new to pvp and gunnery so am after a basic shield and or armor fit for run of the mill pvp stuff that i can learn the ropes in. I have looked on loadout site and there are not any recent fits on there.

If you want to just go forth and pew, depending on skills would suggest this rupturefit (upgrade 180s to 220s as your fitting skills progress):

Currently the best role for the rupture is as a close range armor brawler. Here's a nice solid fit that you can run with T1 equipment until you get fully skilled up for it.

Rupture: Thick skinned

Highs:
220mm Autocannon II (x4)
Small Unstable Power Fluctuator I

Mids:
Experimental 10mn Microwarpdrive I
Faint Epsilon Warp Scrambler I
Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I
This slot is up to preference, fit what you like here, as long as it isn't a cap recharger or hull repper, or shield mod of some sort.

Lows:
Damage Control II
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II (x2)
1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Gyrostabilizer II

Rigs:
Medium Trimark Armor Pump I (x2)
Medium Anti-Explosive Pump I

Drones:

dont expect much success tho
rupture is decent only with very good skills especially cruiser 5 for the double damage bonus and even then there are much better cruisers around

What would you suggest then? I do have a merlin and caracal i quite like too

Rupture shines as an arty ship in fleets, but as said earlier, you need good skills to fly it effectively. Swap t2 mods depending on skills (and you probably don't need a RCU with t1 turrets)

Lol 50 DPS. RLML Caracal is incredible for kiting and nano fleets. The Thorax is also a blast to fly.

If you have bad skills, stay in a frigate for now.

That said, caracal is A 100% better choice than the ruppie, for just about anything. So if i were you- I would be traning that. Auto cannons are a horrible weapon system currently. Best are Pulse lasers, RLMs, and Sentry Drones atm

What i'd suggest is to get into either an incursus or a duo MASB merlin, if you've got low skills.

Besides i don't know what kind of experience you have, but all of the 'shield' fits you're look at, are kite setups, and are going to be very difficult to fly, let alone survive in.

Untill then i'd suggest you to fly frigates to get an idea of how the fitting modules work, and get experience.

What? Autocannons are awesome dude, selectable damage types all over, very far fall-off, autos are good for solo.

stabber is actually the worst kiting cruiser. omen thorax and caracal do more damage at range and all of them are plenty fast to do the same things you do in a "combat" stabber.
stabber can be a decent heavy tackler but thats it.
if you want suggestion use a rml caracal probably you will not be able to handle experienced cruiser pilots but you can have some fun with frigs
