Need help on copy research job

Hello guys,
as customer support is not answering me i am forced to seek help here.

So, the situation is this: I am trying to start a remote copy job on a BPO.
-The BPO is located in station
-I am trying to do copies using a lab, on-lined at a pos in the same system.

I hit Pick up installation button and then i choose some free slot on the pos. Doing this changes the INPUT location to NO CHOICE and there is nothing else on the drop down menu. OUTPUT locations is ok. Further more, if try to hit OK button to get to the quota tab, nothing is happening - not even an error msg. The OK button just clicks and that's it.

I do have Science V
Scientific Networking II
Laboratory Operation IV

also roles: Factory Manager
Rent Factory Slot
Rent Research Slot

I have full access to the division where the BPO is held. I tried to do the same with another alt that has same roles and access and nothing wrong happens there.

Will be grateful if someone can help

Is the BPO in a division of a corporate hangar in the station?

Note that the S & I window has a settings tab that everyone ignores (go look at it), but this is not your problem.

Check your log too.

Been a long time but I think the BPO needs to be in the pos lab hanger

Is it in a station in the Same System? As well the BPO needs to be in one of the Corporate hangers in order to do research. I cannot be in your personal Items.

In order to use a corporate POS tower, the BPO does have to be in a corporate hangar (along with the proper roles, which is mostly "factory manager" and "rent research slot"). Note that you only need "query" access to the corporate hangar tab, you do not need "take". (But if they don't have "take" then someone needs to put the researched BPOs back into the member's hangar. In which case you should tell people not to deliver their own jobs - and let the research manager person do that.)

Won't work from a personal hangar (only station lab slots can be done via a personal hangar).

Corp hangar has to be at a station within the same solar system as the POS tower.

If someone has been playing with roles on the POS lab slots, you can run into trouble (mostly, you should only ever touch the install fees and per hour fees).

You will also need access to the wallet of the same division where you have put the BPO so that you can pay the slot fee out of the corporate wallet division. This is done under "Accounting (Divisional)" where you tick off the checkbox for the appropriate division. Naturally since people can now take from that wallet division it should be kept empty and only filled up with enough ISK to cover the job being created.

One method that works well, but doesn't really scale (limited to a maximum of 6 people in addition to the director) is to give each person their own corporate tab (hangar + wallet). You then create a title that grants access to that tab with the following roles:

Station Service - Factory Manager, Rent Factory Slot, Rent Research Slot
Accounting (Divisional) - Give them access to a single wallet division
Hangar Access (HQ) - Give them both query and take for their division
Container Access (HQ) - Give them take for their division
Hangar Access (other) - Give them both query and take for their division
Container Access (other) - Give them take for their division

The main downside of this approach is that you can really only scale it out to 6 people. But it lets all 6 do manufacture / invention using the POS arrays, without being able to take each others stuff. The biggest security issue (besides the director running away with everything) is that they can cancel other people's jobs, resulting in the loss of time & materials.

Hi guys and thank you for your efforts so far

The BPO is located inside staion in corporate hangar - it is not in my personal hangar
The POS is in the same system
I also have access to Master Wallet

I have another alt that is doing other research jobs as well and both chars have identical roles and access to corp assets (hangar div and wallet div)

What i find most disturbing is that i dont get any notification from the client if i am doing sth wrong at all. Usually when you are lacking a role or you dont have rights for a hangar div, the client tells you that immidiately. Right now, when i select a free copy slot on the advanced lab at the pos, the input location turns to NO CHOICE (before that it shows the corresponding corp hangar div where the bpo is kept). Clicking ok in the COPY tab returns nothing - neither i advance to the quota tab, noe an error msg is generated

I will try to revoke all roles later on tonight but unfortunatelly for me i need a director for this one and i am not sure if i can catch one.
