That blinky Caldari cruiser, I hates it. Also, all the other ships too. Yes, all of them.

Oooh, forgot to mention the Vagabond.
The basic stabber hull is fine. But the stupid stuck on bits that differentiate the Vagabond don't look like they belong to that ship, and don't fit with the design. The little aerials all over it look ridiculous as they are too bright on the dark hull.

There's nothing wrong with it if you like a ship that has icicles all over it (and far too many icicles at at that) and which is the only Minmatar ship to have its fins not in a planar angle with part of the hull, which not only makes it look like it has the head of an Egyptian statue, it also looks un-Minmatar.

i think all ships in eve need new designs. they're almost universally ugly.

while everyone has a ship or ships they like, i don't know anyone that doesn't think the majority of ships in eve are ugly.

i think they should release a new skin pact. players could then choose between original skins (the ugly skinpack), or the new skins (the badass skinpack). then i could look at sleek cool spaceships :)

i particularly liked homeworld's/homeworld 2's style.

This is true, there's a ship that's ruined for me now. Stabber is utterly crap in every way. Start again.

Though I wouldn't mind if they did only a small update to the Tristan. Definitely my favorite frigate in the game.

With it's drawn out hull and strange lop ears the vaga always reminded me of a big, flying dachshund. Not sure if this is cool or not. Maybe it is.

Also: Leave the tempest alone, the tempest looks awesome!

Must say I was quite shocked when I started playing EVE and worked my way up from Ibis to Bantam to Kestrel and how ugly all the ships were. I even cross trained Amarr immediately because every single Caldari cruiser was too ugly to fly.

Eventually you get used to it (although there's some ghastly hulls I still refuse to fly like Moa or Bellicose) but pretty ships aren't exactly EVE's greatest asset and I can't imagine the average ship's looks will be the reason people decide to play EVE.

And that's a very small player specific list, out of literally hundreds of ships. By far and away people agree, EVE ships are generally butt ass ugly.

The size of your list (and mine is equally small), is telling. It basically says that it's not ship specific, it's EVE's entire ship-art concept that just doesn't work.

What's kind of amazing about that, is that you'd figure some dev or business-end type would've picked thier head up from the desk and realized this. I mean seriously. Consider how much TIME and resource CCP spent on allowing us to dress ourselves, and make facial expression and blah, blah, blah crap, that so few SPACESHIP pilots gave a crap about? And what did we do? Cry about bringing ship spinning back, just so we could look at our ugly spaceships.

The number of new players that bail on EVE early in their carreers just because they realize how terribly ugly these ships really are has to be significant. You'd think they'd want to retain as many new players as possible.

I have a brother that played for one day and just laughed at them. Totally turned him off to EVE.

The ugliness of EVE ships literally costs CCP money. I bet far more than they realize.

I wouldn't be surprised.

Sometimes I think CCP is really lucky there isn't a lot of competition in the spaceship game business.
