Gone try to start a thread where people can discuss the
latest scams. Tell us about you being scammed. If we all work
together we can try to prevent that the same thing happens to others...

The only annoying thing with Jita is the never ending stream of scams in chat. The chat there is just completely useless and the 1 genuine seller in there will never get any kind of visibility. While I agree that scamming is part of the game, and you should just pay attention to what you buy, the endless stream of spam isn't.

According to the code of conduct here (link) spamming is indeed prohibited and I really hope at some point ISD or what not will take action against these players spamming the same crap every couple of seconds.

just follow the golden rule in eve - trust no one. stick to that rule, and jita becomes a happy place.

Hah, nothing 'latest' about it. Just the same few scams being spammed and spammed again and again.

Plus CCP have their head shoved deep where the sun doesn't shine when it comes to addressing the many obvious spam bots that pollute the chat in Jita (and other hubs).

Chribba gave them logs with full breakdowns of who was spamming and how often, that he recorded chat channel a number of times over 23h periods in jita. As you can imagine, nothing was done.

No, we can't.
That's not possible and you SHOULD know that.

It seems rather likely that you simply want others to do the work for you
and then reap the rewards as your own.

I'm just tired of local filling up with 1 after the other. So next time before u
say something without knowing me, private contact me first!!

but not only failed to use google yourself to realise the countless sites teaching about scams that are already online...
.) ... but also believe your thread is in any way new and original and not a copy of a copy of a copy.

Explain how you believe that we can prevent scams from happening, but in detail.


edit: And please show us your contribution to it. Opening a thread and letting others do the work doesn't really count as contribution.

scammed with. So other people can read this.
-I searched on the forums but excuse me for not reading all 500 pages from the "scam search".

edit: told u, never been scammed myself, just got ganked a couple times but that's not the discussion.
just tired of people scamming others that are working for their isk like myself.

There is still a lot of trade that goes on. Jita is like wallstreet.

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

I dont care if someone had been scammed. But what disturbs me is that CCP somehow accept spam bots.(Chriba have extraordinary evidence for this) Their answer is always something like "this is not our concern as those bots dont affect server performance".

This makes BLOCK button useless as spambots makes new throwaway characters everyday.

Your right it is a joke, my blocked list is easily over 1000.
