I'd have liked to buy one. The Rifter is neat and the Danger Game looks interesting (even though I'm not really into board games), but what I'd be most interested in is the book. I totally want to read that thing.

You should look up the word bitter. It doesn't mean what you think it means.

(of people or their feelings or behavior) angry, hurt, or resentful because of one's bad experiences or a sense of unjust treatment.

Seems to fit your feelings well regarding the purchase itself.

I got mine yesterday. Then played the Danger Game last night with some friends and a bottle of wine. I'm pretty sure I'm on everyone's "**** list" now... except for the bottle of wine.

I am a 100% satisfied customer!! *hic* THANKS CCP!!!

I imagine reading comprehension wasn't your strongest suit? I never said that the purchase was a bad experience or that I feel unfairly treated by CCP. I said that the contents inside the box was a disappointment and the logical conclusion of that must be: I am disappointed!

Im very happy with it. I didnt buy it to sell it for ISK, PLEX would have been cheaper and yielded me more in the long run.

For me its a fun reminder of things that happened the past years. The Danger Game looks fun, but hardly anyone around me plays board games, so maybe my family will be the victim for that.

All in all, with the knowledge i have now, i would buy it again. It sits cosy next to my 'EVE online Special Edition'.

It's a nice box of goodness. On our next boardgame evening Danger Game is certainly getting it's testrun :), the book is awesome (pwetty pictures), the rifter looks very nice and has taken residence on my desk already. Since I needed a new account already even the 60 day key and PLEX are getting some good loving.

I think the entire set is wonderful. As for the book, I noticed that one of the alliance logos is shown both on page 40 and 41 (I think there should be only one...). I like the book and my favourite quote so far is: "The release of Trinity came with two curious side-effects, one wholly unwelcome and the other unexplained. The first was that EVE's new Premium installer caused the crucial boot.ini file to be deleted from some user PCs. The second was the inexplicable and fleeting appearance of a bright star visible from every system in EVE, as if hundreds of PCs screamed out in terror and were suddenly silenced." <3

I originally bought it for the book, which ended up being really awesome. What I ended up liking the most was the soundtrack. Watching it on the fanfest stream was amazing and hearing it again was sublime.

Everything else in the package exceeded expectations (the Danger Game is dangerously fun, too).

Received it this morning.

Was a little worried due to reading some ok ish reports.

However its very nice, the outer box is nicely done, the book is fantastic, the CD is good and the rifter is just awesome!

All in all very happy and well worth it.

Thanks CCP!

I thought the Rifter would be die cast metal or something.

I'm scared to take it out the packaging incase it breaks, some parts feel really flimsy.

Overall the package is great though

It had alot to offer to some fans, but not to me.

I didn't see the value.

The only thing I really want is the CD symphony recording. *THAT* I'm willing to pay for separately.

But hey, "Murphy's Law of Sacred Cow Marketing" says it will suddenly appear for sale soon, separately, now that the CE's are all but shipped to just about everyone who's going to melt plastic for a CE. Roll

My USB Rifter doesn't seem to want to power anything, no matter what I plug into it. Lights up just fine, but isnt hubbing worth a damn. Sad

I think we live in interesting times that the digital goods in the CE are probably more prized and perceived to be of higher quality, than the physical goods in the CE.

True for the most part, and it will be interesting to see in the future what happens with the concept of digital real estate. I have seen art books of lesser quality costng $100+ than the book in the CE though. That is a really beautiful book and I regard that as worth more than any of the transient digital items
