Any learned EVE player knows that attempting to guilt trip CCP into anything is only going to be met with one response. I get the feeling this is one of those foot-stomping STO players who are used to getting their own way just by crying loudly.

Hmmm, imagine EVE modified so it doesn't exclude the clumsy, dumb, disorganised and out of focus.

It gets them attention and hordes of politically correct derps will come to their defence. Not in EvE, thank the Maker.

Wait, are there any politically correct types on eve? I thought this game was full of people who actively hunt their tears.

Under the current system those with ADD are more likely to forget to renew their clone after death, and get skill point loss. Where as the non disabled community gets to remember to renew their clone.

I want an auto clone upgrade option. It's only fair.

can you start with what ADD means? Alzheimer?

By this reasoning, they also forget to set their skill qeue, buy ammo, retarget, turn in missions, get missions, put stuff they move in their hold, adjust their PI, ah nvm. If I cant just log in and have all skills at five, have all the isk, and all the sov its discrimination!

As was said in a previous thread by many a week or so ago CCP can't and shouldn't change game mechanics or favour groups with disabilities. This doesn't mean CCP are cruel uncaring and not considering the needs of people, it's a requirement for a fair and balanced playing field.

If you have problems remembering your clones maybe you should start some kind of routine way of checking, set a reminder on your phone or PC to check every few hours.

When you were a kid, 'being different' was treated with ECT.

You must be really really old. While the name of the disorder has changed several times over the years, ADD was first documented as a condition in the 18th century.
Nowadays doctors are pretty quick to jump to the diagnosis, I'd agree, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I'm a long term ADD sufferer, and while I see it as less of a disability and more or a negative personality trait, some people are less able to cope.
People that simply dismiss the condition are not helping anyone, and for what? What do you gain from it?

All of that said, this idea is nonsense, and obviously a troll so the thread should probably be closed.

1. ADD is real and if you don't believe that then you don't believe in science.

2. ADD is not a justification for changing video game mechanics.

3. Unironically using the phrase "politically correct" to dismiss a particular point of view identifies you as an irredeemable shitheel regardless of whether you have a point or not. Just don't do this, it's really stupid and does nothing for your argument.

4. This thread is terrible and I feel bad for posting in it.

Lol, agreed. We also need at least 5 confirmations before any target in Highsec can be shot.

Being a person with Autism, ADD is part of my diagnosis, along with dyslexia.

And I feel bad for people like the OP posting stuff like this. There is a very simple way to avoid forgetting to update your clone, it's called thinking, and if that fails, the postit note on your screen with 'don't forget to update your clone'.

I've learned to deal with my disabilities, does that mean I can function normally? No, there's some things that I mess up regularly, and every day can be a struggle just doing ordinary things. It's a game called Life, deal with it.

Anyone allergic to nuts should avoid Eve entirely, or at least the forums.
