Yeah I know, I would be laughing if it weren't me because now I really don't know, yikes. I hope it stays where it is because I can't just sell like that.

assuming the ship will not be changed and CCP doesn't decide to throw some more at us on christmas or some other occasion, i expect the prices to rise back to ~80mil by december 2014.

I should buy an Ishtar.

Of course this thread is an intervention into the market. Nothing wrong with that.

I did a lot of similar interventions into the market for tech 2 armor plates when they were rebalanced.

I have exactly one Gnosis between my accounts and intend to keep it that way. The ship serves little purpose, except as a ship for low-skilled AWOX alts and/or as a shield tanked hauling ship that noone usually even bothers to cargo scan let alone gank. As such few are destroyed and the present stock will last some time.

Time for Gnosisgeddon? Where are goons when you need them

It's not only Goonswarm that are allowed to carry out ganks, you know?

I'm a ganker, and have no affiliation to Goonswarm at all.

ok. now get back to work you lazy bastard!

we're awaiting for Gnosii price jump!

The Gnosis is still a mediocre ship, it is not used in PvP outside of novelty purposes, and its not good of PvE if your character has the skills to fly any of a number of better ships. Then there is tons of supply, and more coming.

I dont know where you're getting your data from but historically speaking in the last 6months the price of Gnosis has been declining which would probably indicate demand has dropped. 6months ago the average was around 76m ISK today its roughly 56m ISK and in some low/null sec areas can get lower.

Last night I bought 2x for 57m ISK.

Keep ships until it's gonna be last ships in eve you have (Might be not possible but still try it) and sell for huge profit. Since this ship can't be manufactured by Bears they are not included into this market, I believe you did wise investment but you'll need patience :)

I highly believe that downward trend of this ship will be temporary, mabe more people thought to get rid of this ship but in the end Bulls will win for the same reason I mentioned, no bears manufacturers, just more people decided to get rid of this ship.

As far as I can see there is Bearish Trend going for long time period, Bullish trends are temporary unless you are scalper you should get rid of these ships.

I am still skeptical but I don't have enough data to disagree so owning a few just in case is probably a wise investment to be on the safe side Smile

Yeah I finally got rid of them, lost like 800 mil on this. I will never speculate again until next week when I have more extra cash and am not sure what to do with it.

I have a huge stock of ships. No more can be made. Please buy them all at inflated prices so I can be space rich. Buy now. Next week I will have billions if someone buys all my ships. I am not an idiot. Please listen to my ramblings and make me rich.

You sound so ridiculous, how can you just say that? First of all these ships are not produced, they are limited edition ships that where given by CCP. Second, this is not a rambling to make me rich, I'm just pointing out an obvious trend that will continue no matter how many times I or anyone else talks about. If the price goes to 100 million it will not make me so much money, its just a target I have and thats all. The price will continue to go up, off course as I said I would like the price to go up sooner rather than later, so yes I did post about this because I want people to buy a few and create some demand which would act as a catalyst so that I could sell just a little sooner, but thats about the only reason somebody would share a market opportunity on this forum. The thing is that the price is and will not be inflated, the ships will go up because they are limited edition, and whoever buys now or has been buying like me will eventually make a good buck. So please be a little more reasonable and if you don't like what is being said and pointed out then please don't act like a little ignorant kid trying to just make others sound bad. In conclusion, don't be an ahole, have a little more consideration and respect for everyone else and the world should be better.
I really don't know where you get your info from guy, but you are way off. The Gnosis is one of the worst investments there is going.

I mean think about it.
Most of the special ed ships, excluding the ultra rares, decline in price. As an example, look at the likes of the Quafe Iteron (or miasmos i think it is now). Over time it's declined. This is the same for all of the standard "limited editions".
Then consider that those other limited ed ships required you to do something. The Gnosis didn't, the Gnosis was handed to every active account. That means the volume of them within the market is considerably higher.
Since they are limited edition, most people don't fly them, so you can't even rely on them getting killed enough to raise the price.

I got 8 for my accounts, and sold 7 of them. I sold mine to bad marketeers on day 1, for between 300m and 450m a piece. That's pretty much what you should have done to get a good investment.
I think hoping that these go about 70m solidly within the next few years is really unrealistic. as for 100m, unless the BPCs show their mineral price at over 100m (should be about 50m being a battlecruiser) they are unlikely to ever get that high. Consider how far you could have got your 5b if you'd invested in something else. I can think of at least 100 different ways to push a 10% guaranteed margin in under a week.

In short, the Gnosis is a terrible investment, with a low return over a long period of time. The isk would be better invested elsewhere with a higher return over a shorter time period.

I have a firm rule, etched in stone, absolutely non-negotiable, that I almost always usually follow, and that is to not invest in ugly ships.
