I'll walk you through it.

Each pirate faction gets a deadspace prefix:

Core(l) = Serpentis
Corp = Blood
Cent = Sansha
Gist = Angel
Pith = Gurista

From there, deadspace breaks down into three main suffix classes:

-i = frigate (Serpentis goes to Coreli and Angels get an extra i here for some reason for Gistii)
-um = cruiser (Serpentis goes to Corelum)
base = battleship (Blood and Sansha get a -us instead)

Then there are quality subdivisions:

C: lowest tier
B: middle tier
A: high tier
X: battleship only, even higher

This slots each suffix/quality subdivision into an equivalent deadspace rating:

1/10: -i C-type
2/10: -i B-type
3/10: -i A-type
4/10: -um C-type
5/10: -um B-type
6/10: -um A-type
7/10: - C-type
8/10: - B-type
9/10: - A-type
10/10: - X-type

DED ratings 1-4 spawn in high sec, 4-6 spawn in lowsec, and 6-10 spawn in null.

So for a Gistum A-type you're looking for an Angel 6/10 and for the B-type you're looking for an Angel 5/10. So then you consult this nifty chart and find that the 6/10 doesn't exist -- so no luck there -- and that the 5/10 (new content, which is nice) is Angel's Red Light District.

Deadspace mods also sometimes drop from escalations (which is how we have Pithi A-type Small Shield Boosters despite the lack of a Gurista 3/10). So that's your path for the Gistum A-type. The B-type should drop most reliably from Red Light District.

nitpicking because I'm bored

Angel 5/10 is not new. It has been in game for years. There were a few new 5/10s added recently but this was not one of them.

WTF, im confused...in these very forums, somebody has posted something that was informative and useful, and yet completely devoid of any trolling, scamming, begging or whining. There has to be a scam in here somewhere, but I cant find it...

TBH I am really struggling to get my head around this unexpected act of decent behaviour on the EVE forums.

But hey, I have to take what's given at face value, so...

From the very depths of my cold, cold heart, I offer you my most sincere thanks for this shocking act of kindness and helpfulness.

Thank you!!
