Actually, no, it's not. However, highsec is just as much mine as it is yours. Hope that clears things up for you. If not, come on up to Deklein and try to dock.

I've never claimed that it isn't yours, nor that it is "ours" alone. That's just you attempting to play semantics. Hi sec is where I choose to live most of my time, and thus why I call it "my" home. Hope that clears it up for you :).

Oh, and again, stop trying to nerf ours. You get it now?

[highsec goes 'splat']

lowsec to highsec: hahaha, you weren't mashing the d-scan button . . . sucks to be you
highsec to lowsec: but I don't feel like mashing d-scan
lowsec to highsec: hey, where did you go?
highsec to lowsec: i'm in highsec, where I don't need to mash d-scan
lowsec to highsec: nerf highsec!

Confirming there are more than enough pvp targets in lowsec. Thank you TEST for joining Caldari FW!

+1 to both above. You want a fight? Find a fight, not a gank.

The idea of identifying with a particular range of security levels is really bizarre.

Look at us. Dancing our way out of the OP. Liquid goalposts are funny like that. In any case, I'm still feeling generous, so I'll guide the way for you... again:

Semantics

-The meaning, or an interpretation of the meaning, of a word, sign, sentence, etc.

Your interpretation of "our home" varies slightly from my interpretation, though I suspect you knew exactly what was meant and just thought it clever to say it anyway. In any case, I hope it worked out for ya.

Successfully doinitwrong™ since 2006.

Stay the hell out of our space.

Stop trying to nerf ours.

You don't have any space to nerf, fyi.

If you're going to get all semantics on me, hi-sec is as much "ours" as null sec is yours.

I have 4 characters in hi-sec. It's more mine than yours.

It doesn't need nerfing, it needs a huge buff.

More fun

more challenge

more opportunity

But you didn't say "our home," you said "our space." You're equivocating and dropping context, deliberately. In other words, you're doing what you've accused me of, which is why I said what I did.

Thank you for assuming that I'm too dumb to fly what I can't afford to lose. Isn't that a EVE meme, or something?

But you are too dumb not to lose it in the first place?

I never said anything about losing what can't replaced, by the way, is there a juicy loss story behind that very specific denial?

My friend is a bit miffed at me. I sold him on the pvp thing when he started getting bored with missions. Now he can't find targets and wants to quit cause he spent a whole nite roaming without a target willing to bite on something so small as a cruiser fleet. I tried to sell him on the idea of shooting defenseless indies and gatecamps and that kind of excited him but I'm afraid he's just gonna let the subscription run out if you don't offer yourself up for noob fodder. What y'all really need to do is to find noobs and let them kill you so they feel some success and glory for several months of hard training and study.

I suggest you get your friend to roll up a suicide ganking alt. It's pretty low skill requirements to max dps a catalyst, and it's hella fun.

To be fair, parts of nullsec actually have their names on it, so there is some legitimacy to claiming it as "theirs."

No part of space anywhere has a highsec carebear's name on it.

And ignoring that, if "residence" is the only criteria for "owning" space, high sec "belongs" as much to the bears as it does to the gankers who want the changes you call "nerfs."

Thanks Karous, I'll mention it but I think the game just rolls too slow for him, Maybe I'll send him to Rancer or Amamake. Wonder if they still shoot noobs there? Low sec mid sec makes no difference to him since he's just starting to play with his own coin. I'd say he's a Midseccer. He likes low but enjoys a peaceful evening in high once in a while too.

You guys might not be discussing semantics as much, as you are discussing sense of ownership. I agree with PotatoOverdose, you only 'own' something if your name is on it. And only then still in a make-belief-pretend kind of way, ultimately CCP owns everything and we and our fake corporate entities merely get credited for it. I'm very curious to see how Rubicon turns out when the principles of ownership, previously only available outside of hisec, will be applied to secure space.

This only slightly touches upon the point of bringing more people into lowsec. If you cannot find targets you are doing it wrong, you are being lazy and risk-averse and probably not more then 1 warp away from your POS! I'd say HTFU and find more active space, don't overfish the same pond every day. Pirate

A note to Tuggboat: keeping your sec stat up is less of an issue nowadays. Apart from my alliance being decced from time to time and some of us having high bounties (hardly condemning factors), it's not that problematic to mix up hisec and lowsec activities. Also, once you get a bit more established in lowsec PVE there becomes more natural, and you'll rarely lose a ship unless you decide to 'take' a fight or bail.
