Well you can do it without massive amounts of skillpoints, just the right attitude and a willingness to listen and learn. Take Eric - solo killing at 21 days old. That's something that many 2 year veterans still aren't willing to do.

Yep, trying to pvp without clear comms is like trying to thread a needle with spaghetti during an earthquake.

You can pick up a headset with a mic for about the same price as a couple of beers.

Where there is a will there is a way :D

Also on ebay thanks to the chinese sweatshops you can get a cheap headset for £2.99 (so less than $5.00) including postage. So there is little excuse not to be able to have a working mic these days.
