Sounds exiting! I for one am convinced they will rebalance 0.0 and tweak every ship and overhaul all the skins and introduce establishments and all the CQ's and fix the bugs with incarna in three months time!

I laughed...good job.

Flying in space? What is this? A game about spaceships or something?

We need avatars and clothes, new forums and websites, that's what this game needs.

Hmm so technically that give DRF 3 months to get rest of 0.0, except goons & CF polerised map FTW. For CCP to do all this I predict December 31st for the Expansion to come out.

TL;DR Expansion that should have come 18 months ago late.

There’s also a new “time dilation” mode they’re toying around with to make the big, fast fights become a bit more strategic. Basically this will be a sort of “bullet-time” for EVE Online dogfights so that the game won’t miss commands and fights will have more strategy

So rather than lag where everything slows down. They just slow everything down anyway and make it look like its working. yer......ok

Looking forward to it. :)

Danbar: They slow it down a bit to ensure nothing is lost (warping away, activating modules, targeting, etc.). Honestly I rather have a game being a tad bit slower than a game that runs at usual speed but ignores my input.

I'm working to clear up some of the slightly misremembered details of that conversation and clarify some things with the author.

The Winterytime release will not be called Tranquility. I think a very specific part of his notes must've been borked.

I'll get excited about this the very instant even one of these features actually go live on TQ. CCP have let us down with their "promise the world, deliver a disused parking lot" interviews once too often.

No, wait. 20 times too often. We've seen these grand plans before. No dount the guy you interviewed would like nothing better than to implement all these changes, but the sad fact is that the CCP management won't allocate the resources. If we actually see ONE of the features he's talking about, I'll be surprised.

They have no credit left. No one gives a **** about what they say any more. We're only interested in what they can actually do.

Deliver or GTFO.

I really hope CCP isn't suffering a severe case of cranial rectumitis when it comes to "resource redistribution". They need to understand that yes, Eve is actually four distinct sandboxes with high, low, null and Anoikis. Being as such, it's critical that they realize that taking the sand out of any one box won't compel people to go play in a different box. They'll simply look at their empty box and go home.

You forgot two more distinct sandboxes: the forums and the internet.

Wow phew. Thanks for clearing that up. We were all worried that the patch would be "called" something stupid. Lets just see if you can finally deliver something that you say you will do.

Then make me feel better Manifest... give me that warn and fuzzy back. Reassure me that you (CCP in general) won't be shifting resources in a way that punish wormholes (my primary concern) by removing needed resources or causing the cost of pos fuels to skyrocket.

At least let me know that this concern is being kept in mind.

Pwease?

Just make sure when ye issue out the 5 day passes to unsubbed bitter vets make sure you DONT DO IT until at least a week AFTER the expansion to allow for the few emergency patches otherwise the bitter vets wont resub.

i'd even go as far as issuing 14 day passes to allow for the five or six mini patches to fix all the exciting new bugs that inevitably get added with each major expansion.
