Blueprint ME/PE - How to export from EVE

I have been following this forum for quite a few years now and I have not yet noticed anyone mentioning this little feature I found some months back. If everybody already knows about this and it's old news then I apologize.

So basically for years I have wanted to be able to use something like EVEHQ, eve-cost etc and manage all my blueprints without having to manually enter all the me/pe values and runs etc.

Nothing has ever seemed to do this completely. However, after using the new batch of copy/paste web utils I accidentally discoved that I can export a list of all blueprints in one place using ctrl+c etc. Ill explain how to do this cos it's a bit obscure and I found it by accident.

Go somewhere where you have blueprints either station or 2500m within range of a POS array. Open the science and industry screen, and goto to the blueprints you want to list. Where you have the grey bar that you click on to expand that division, hangar etc, double click on it.

This will then open a new minimal window with a list of all the blueprints with me/pe and runs. Do the control c stuff and paste into spreadsheet, notepad whatever.

I was amazed when I discovered this, and everyone I have spoken too didnt know about it.

So now that we can do this, my idea is this, and its for more talented software devs than I could ever be.

How about using this to integrate importing of BP values into your apps, similar say to the evemarketdata copy/paste utils. Then you would be able to use your already existing code to update the values as they get researched I guess.

I made a list of my BP's in spreadsheet but no one in my corp including myself ever manually updates them.

I hope this has inpsired someone who wasn't aware of this, and if everyone already knew, then why didn't you tell us all before?

Hi Mylock,

This is quite interesting. I just checked it does provide information that will ease up initial setup for blueprints... I did not know about this function. So.. this is going to be included to next Blueprint Wizard release.

update: added in version 0.0.5

Thank you!

I had no clue this existed.

I'll implement blueprint copy parser to EVE-Cost as well.

Thank you!

EVE-Cost is a manufacturing tool for EVE players. http://www.eve-cost.eu

That is both weirdly obscure and very useful. Thanks.

I couldn't have said it better. Thanks from me too, I just implemented this in EveHQ.

I guess from now on I'm gonna go paranoid and doubleclick ALL THE THINGS just in case there might be a treasure cove of hidden functionality behind them.

Don't suppose someone could cut and paste an example line here (or a pastebin) ? doesn't need to be real data, I just need the order of columns, and what the separator is.

I've been thinking about doing something with this, but right now I'm away from an eve client.

Since Louis's pastebin only shows BPOs here are a few more lines with BPC vs. BPO and stacked packaged BPOs:

So separators are tab and CRLF. The trailing tab in the last line was eaten by pastebin.

It's not been extensively stress tested, but I think it should handle things fine.

Tested from the pastebins provided above. Thanks for the example. And is this a good place to grumble about formatting being added to numbers where it really doesn't help? Blink

Long term, I may see about adding in some basic calculations about profitability, though I'll need to work up some more infrastructure for that.

Wow, I am impressed.

I was a little scared about the original post, as I was expecting to be shot down by lots of people telling me that everyone already knew about this and that it was useless. I should have had more faith in this forum and the people contributing to it.

How wrong I was. It's great to see you guys, who write the software I use on a regular basis picking this up and running with it.

I look forward to finally having a complete collection of bpos / bpcs saved in evehq for the first time ever.

Its cool that you've added to fuzzworks and eve-cost, two more sites that I use on a fairly regular basis.
