Hyped for Collector Edition but left somewhat disapointed.

Who the **** buys a World of Warcraft "collectors edition"?

Nice heavy box arrived an hour orso ago.
Sturdy packaging, great artwork on the box.

Opening it gives you that 'you are special' feel only Apple seems to put into its packaging and so does CCP now.

Great artwork on the CD casing. (Damn, I wish they never invented those, just think how great it would have looked on LP size).

Music is now playing in the back, actually my biggest reason for buying the CE version. P Yeah call me nuts but it's my money.

Rifter looks ok but I'll leave it in the box, I have a really wild cat here that just would love to give it a one time only spin off my desk.

Game, not going to be used sadly (I have no RL friends)Lol.

Cards, gift code, all look great and then at the bottom is this book.
I mean F* man! Holy Sh*! Shocked

It just looks absofragginglutely stunning! My god. /me almost gets a tear in his eye going through it with the Icelandic symphony playing in the back.



Buying this was worth it every single penny.

I can't find it now, but there was a CCP post somewhere that talked about a future patch that would randomize where new players start either in the CQ or the Hangar. Just so they could gather stats on their respective usages.

I personally liked the CQ and used it for awhile. But there is nothing to do in it. Nothing. Easier to just stay in the hangar. If I could redo my avatar's clothes and trim my beard from the hangar I'd never see the CQ.

I got my Edition today.

The Rifter is plasic all over. It looks cheep and the USB Cord is much to short. I need an hub or extension to let it work. Sad

But what me realy got me angry is the Danger Game. The Cards inside are badly cut and so it is easy to tell what card is what because of the bad shape. Evil

Exactly as advertised!

I'm a bit disappointed that there wasn't ~cool~ stuffs. Imagine there was 150 random cards, everyone got 5-10 of said random cards. And you had to collect them all, first person to hand them in.....lifetime of EVE for free!

But, with the kids saying the Rifter is of cheap quality and build. Something tells me my skills with models and modification will come in handy...

Funny, I bought it mostly for the virtual goods and the book, not any of the other physical stuff. Can't really see much of a use for the Rifter hub. We'll see...

Mine has apparently arrived in-country, and the tracking from Germany to that point was superb. Now thanks to Australia Post and their tracking system, I have no idea where it is or how soon I am going to get it.

I really should have bought two so I could play dogfights with my Rifters.

Uhm me ? i got all the collectors edition of blizzard. Even yes even diablo 3. I liked blizzard... Now the days are over for blizzard. The let me down for like what 20ste time. Now the second company i like is CCP and for the first time i remember the release there first collectors edition. So iam happy to buy it to give my gratitude for there hard work. Even if the make mistake we are all humans. If it was perfect whats the fun about that?

And there are other company`s that i like to so the get my gratitude to if the fail me (to many times or release something thats game breaking or made it pay to win game) i will never buy any games from them... Thats how i roll my life.

Well i got my CE today and i gotta say that RL rifter feels just like ingame one - cheap and paper thin:P.

PS:From Amarr perpective; all minmatar ships look like they come from china Big smile .

As far as I can remember, I turned it off ages ago, walk to the end where you're closest to your ship, then look on your left a bit down the balcony, there's your pod, open and... green.

have you tried making "no" ships active (IDK if you can do this in the CQ). From what I remember, the 'open pod' in the CQ is just a background model (i.e. it is not "your pod" in the same sense of having it floating when you're in hangar mode)
