Hyped for Collector Edition but left somewhat disapointed.

I finally received my Collector Edition yesterday. Was super stoked to unwrap it. But I was kind of disappointed.

  • The box is huge compared to other game collector edition. I figured it would come in similar size as my World of Warcraft or Diablo 3 collector edition box.
  • The internal packing was poorly done and designed, arrived to me broken. Diablo 3 CE did a perfect job packing everything in a snug package.
  • Figured it would at least come with a DVD with bonus exclusive behind the scene footage or something like that but nope just a 11 track music CD.
  • Danger game board should’ve at least fit inside the game tin.
  • The biggest let down was the Rifter USB hub as it looks and feels cheap… It’s made of plastic with label on it saying made in China. I would’ve rather a ceramic or metal model even if it meant no USB hub.


However, I’m pleased with everything else. *shrugs*

Did you even read what he said? he's complaining about the way its packaged, the fact that stuff inside doesn't even fit in packaging its advertised in, and the main reason most people bought it feels and looks cheap, Not to mention that the other gripe that the wire on said rifter hub is stupidly short.

If it makes you feel any better I bought the Arkham Asylum CE expecting a metal batarang and got a rubber one glued to a plastic stand.

Fair enough, I'll give you that one. I knew it didn't come with a DVD. Just wouldn't hurt to include that especially with that absurd CD case just to house three additional card and a instruction booklet. I just think they could've executed it better than this.

Hype always creates wrong expectations,
but i guess there's nt enough hype going on in the world for people to notice that.

I also like how people complain about a plastic rifter,
completely ignoring that a metal rifter would increase weight substantially,
which would create complaints about the delivery costs...

It makes me sad to think of a rubber batarang glued to a plastic stand... not unlike Calvin's disappoinment when his propeller beanie did not let him fly. Big smile

The vast majority of people turned CQ off and never looked back. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if CCP just forgot it existed.
