Hello EveVegasers!,
It's time to go back to the drawing board to make 2014 bigger and better than 2013. I am opening this thread to ask you as a current, former or future attendee to tell me whats important to you.

What did we do right this year?
What did we do wrong this year?
What would you like us to do next year?
What crazy idea do you have for something we could do?

What did we do right this year? -- Having the devs there was epic. I tried to collect all the pictures I could with them. http://imgur.com/a/AcbNE

The sit and go pvp was a really good idea.

What did we do wrong this year? -- Walking. The door prize gifts were very far from our rooms. Its tuff in heels.

What would you like us to do next year? -- More player content. More talks from famous players.

What crazy idea do you have for something we could do? -- Picture scavenger hunt. Something we can group up in teams to get done. Good way to get to know people. I'm shy sometimes.

Firstly, great job, Zapawork! Eve Vegas 2013 was a blast and speaking for the Obstergo and Daktak guys we were with, everyone had a great time attending. We are all looking forward to next year and bringing more friends.

What did we do right this year? The Presentations and Roundtables were great, and our group's favorite part were the sit and go tourneys. Also enjoyed the Poker Tournament and the Reception, meeting the developers and ofcourse THE SWAG!

What did we do wrong this year? I don't feel that anything was wrong with the event, personally.

What would you like us to do next year? Wormhole Roundtable and Wormhole/Exploration Presentations (As stated, Our guys would love to help you with this addition to next year's Eve Vegas, if possible!) Would love to see some Eve Poker chips at next year's Eve Vegas aswell :)

What crazy idea do you have for something we could do? Seeing how successful the PVP Tourney Room was and seeing that it is Eve Vegas; maybe develop another room for sit and go style ISK based Casino games... Could be fun?

Thanks again!

Awesome job Zapawork!

What did we do right this year?
Renting out the voodoo was pretty awesome! and telling salty and to hurry up and spend the last $1000 in the VIP.. Lol

What did we do wrong this year?
I thought everything was pretty good.

What would you like us to do next year?
Move the event closer to the strip if of course the price is right.

What crazy idea do you have for something we could do?
Make a space ship float and cruise around it on the strip for the LOL's. don't forget to include a mini bar on it.

Poker was awesome for those that don't drink

Obviously 2 days isn't enough ;)

If you expand it to 3 days you can have many more round tables and alliance panels much like FanFest

Pub crawl was awesome, I played poker but looking at people the next day was awesome, some we're hurting pretty friggin bad, so they must have had an awesome time

Leave coffee out longer in the morning :)

Have CCP Guard check out the warehouse for other trinkets they can't sell :)

I prefer off strip as it is more quiet, they have free shuttle to Ballys

Awesome idea: make a deal with stratosphere for discount tix on jumping off the needle or the other rides

I'm sorry we gave so many prizes ;)

Agreed! Who do you have in mind? I can contact them and ask them to submit to our call for speakers

Now this, this is a good idea

I was hoping to get a good wormhole speaker but none applied in time. The best way to make sure we do is to have your best and brightest submit next year! Beyond that its finding out which dev team within CCP is responsible for wormholes and getting them to vegas :)

The poker chips will return next year, this is something I heard loud and clear.

Interesting, what games besides poker would you want? Both days?

Our contract with Caesars Entertainment is up, so all of our options are open at the moment.

Great, this was my intention. Though I also heard from others that they wanted to be able to do both events.. which leads me to your second point

Do you really want a 3 day event? We could do it but I've been hesitant as it would make harder for more people to get days off work.

The strat was actually the last stop on the pub crawl and all the attendees got to ride the rides for free, except for the sky jump (takes too long)

This was actually a misunderstanding between me and convention services. I thought the late bar I ordered was seperate from the coffee service.

So that's one vote to go back to the rio

So, the vision I'd have for this would be to set up a second room with an assortment of table games; could be Roulette, Three Card Poker, Let It Ride, Blackjack, Caribbean Stud, Craps, etc etc...

Could be a sponsored event, where the house would be covered, and players would come into the room and walk over to the "gaming cage", which would consist of a place with staff and computers to deposit ISK in exchange for chips, then could go play these various table games; which could also lead to possibilities of adding achievements similar to that found with the tourneys, where players could win sponsored prizes (like the STEELSERIES swag) if they make certain hands or hit 00 in Roulette or some such things... Adding to the Eve "Vegas" environment and feel.

It would be a Sit and Go style and players could cash out with the "cage" when they complete their fun, assuming they win... :P

Also, there could be a Sit and Go area through the same set up for Hold'em tables, aswell as scheduled tournaments with various buy-ins.

Just a few ideas off the top, and would be great to have it on the same schedule as you had the Tourney/PVP room, so both days :)

Hope you like the idea!

I only watched about 30% of the twitch feed, so take my comments with a grain of salt.

Done right?

- Having CCP there with a sizable force of devs was fantastic, lots of good information and inside scoops.
- Being in Vegas
- Having an alternative activity for those that don't drink

Done wrong?

- Can't say I saw anything wrong from the stream

Do next year?

- More workshops for varying levels player experience.

The high risk management one was nice to hear, but the poor guy was so nervous he raced through his notes so fast I didn't understand a whole lot of it. Still, I applaud his efforts for doing it.

Crazy Ideas?

Pool party!

I usually post them to the Facebook group and link from here, I'll see if I can get them up on the main site as well.

I'll be popping in here from time to time.
I missed the event, this year, but I'm finally moving back home after nearly a decade of military service. I would be happy to help organize, plan, and facilitate next year's event.

A thought, though... so, I was told this year's event pretty much tripled in attendance numbers, from last year. Have you given any thought to hosting a second event?

That moment when you realize the crazy lady with all the cats was right...

Dude, do we REALLY want to see 300+ space nerds neon white legs?

Also, this time of year it gets cold at night and the pool really isn't that comfortable to swim in, unless you are a canuck :)

There was little to no activity at the pools anyway

That's really up to other players deciding to host an event, just contact ccp guard and they are easy to work with. I do vegas because its fun.

Zaps mate, top show, working with you was a pleasure and I'll make sure I'm helping at the next one too!

Everything was done great, and as some one who works in event planning, I'm hard pressed to find areas of improvement. Perhaps let the hotel know our schedule for reference sake as I heard there were a few scrubs who got sperated and couldn't find the blob. Also, being unable to contact the bus companies kind of sucked for me personally (Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon, no luck... Over my phone is in a lost and found some where).

For next year, I still like the idea of a heavily fueled alliance karaoke competition- and while I planned to do it Sunday night after closing the logistics didn't work out. The plus side of that is I know how to get it supported out for next year.
What else? Zilch! Great job y'all. Walking around the next morning was as hard for me as most of the players there. Op success.
Oh! And a disclaimer about not flying the rift while still drunk the next morning would be good. That almost ended badly.

What did we do right this year?

Pretty much everything. Me and the gf had a blast, and I think getting so much swag helped her be more understanding of my need for constant PvP.

What did we do wrong this year?

Damn you expensive pub crawl.

What would you like us to do next year?

Maybe hotel on the strip? And more computers for Eve. :D Alcohol and food levels were bountiful.

What crazy idea do you have for something we could do?

MORE PRIZES. I loved the headset but the mouses looked awesome too :D

Honestly this was an amazingly executed operation, and hands off to Zaps. The flawlessness makes me want to volunteer for next year. It's great for both the game and community for everyone to come together and meet other players and devs to complain about the things you hate about the game :P

What did we do right this year?

Very nearly everything. This years balance of CCP Contribution Vs Player contribution was about right. There was always something to do, and just enough time for people to do non-eve stuff if they were so inclined.

What did we do wrong this year?

Make the purchasing of tickets clearer on what exactly is included. For example to me, having never been to an eve conference before the Full Price ticket I would have assumed to include the Pub Crawl. Perhaps, next year if there was a full price ticket and a full price ticket w/pub crawl price on the ticket site.

What would you like us to do next year?

More playing of eve. maybe if there was a tournament the day before the event. the 5 v 5 was awesome. More playing of eve is always a good thing. maybe a SCL or some similar thing could be done.

What crazy idea do you have for something we could do?

Eve Vegas players all log in and go on a massive roam killing everyone who isn't there. NPSI!

also, motorcycle rally?
