Dear Dev Team and Capsuleers

I'm just listening to the Tron Legacy: Reconfigurated Soundtrack composed by Daft Punk featured by a lot of other artist.

Seriously, I was cleaning my flat and a couple of time I felt like "Oh ****, forgot to close EvE" but EvE was never running.. so what happened? This sound just puts me in my freaking assault ship in the middle of a combat.

Example: "Encom Part 2" (remixed by Com Truise) or "End Of Line" (Remixed by Photek)

End Of Line
Encom Part 2

What's about you, Capsuleers? Would you like Daft Punk as special guest in your cockpit?

Greetings,

Amal

PS: This idea could be monetized too. I would buy the Soundtrack!

No, thanks.

Make it idiot-proof and someone will make a better idiot.

We have these things called "copyright laws" unfortunately. On the plus side, there is nothing stopping you from playing Daft Punk on repeat while you play Eve Cool

It is possible to pay for outside music development/play rights. I would like to see some time spent on music customization inside the game.

Custom tracks that play on certain ships or in certain regions.

Of course a person can have their music set up on a secondary player as they like, but having music that plays more automatically and comes with some customization options would be nice. (i.e. you can either use music from the defaul eve folder, or you can set a particular song you own to a particular ship/situation.)

For this guy who likes Daft Punk, you could select a folder of Daft Punk songs INSIDE the eve client and have them play for when he is on grid with flashies for example.

Good Idea!

I was more thinking that Daft Punk composes new Tracks for Eve or remixes the current tracks.

yeah and one from iron maiden just for me

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

When you add Demetori or something like that...

I'd rather have metal and stuff.

EvE-Mail me if you need anything.

I really like to start a discussion on the soundtrack topic.

It's good that we all have a different music taste. At the end it is unimportant what CCP may implement.

A new soundtrack can improve, beside of the gamplay atmosphere, the perception of the game by other non-capsuleers.

Like "Wow. This sandbox game has a unique structure, interacts with a shooter on another platform, has a unique living economic system and now even a famous band is supporting it".

I think this has some potential. Since CCP is a functioning corporation (I suppose ;) ) the financial factor is very important. This could be a win-win for them and for the player base.

Cool Soundtrack and marketing potential.

Do you like the idea or is there no need for it?

Thank you for your reply!

Or they could simply bring back the Jukebox.

Although celebrity support would certainly help EvE reach out to the public.

Just please, enough with the dubstep.
If you really want to play any, go with the "old-timey" (Skream, Rusko) stuff, from back when the whole genre hadn't yet crystallized into a mass of copy-paste tracks.

Hey David

I really like your suggestions!

This would be great to enjoy the soundtrack ingame.

For example I really like to play GW2. The soundtrack is giving an epic touch to the game. The deep of univers gives a lot of interpretation room for music.

Come on, capsuleers, am I really the only one listening to the ingame soundtracks? Big smile

Greetings
