Dear CCP Tallest: T2 Missiles?

I would agree with this, and say the same applies to Javelins. It's crazy that if I want to use Javelin Torps in my new Naga, I get a 40% reduction to my speed... Perhaps bringing T3s into this example is not the best idea, but it emphasises the problem with a "per weapon" penalty.

You usually want to use Javelins because you're either kiting or being kited. In both situations speed is not something you want to trade for a bit of range.

Hail isn't OP; as it is on TQ, it's almost completely useless; post to removing its falloff penalty on Sisi, they have announced that it will be reverted to half of the previous penalty (0.75x falloff), thus making it about right. Stop complaining please.

Well stated, that's basically my original point. I cannot think of a good situation to use Javelin torpedoes for, save two: Steatlh Bombers rigged and fitted exclusively for long-range bombardment, and missioning Golems with T2 missile range rigs. In both cases, speed is basically irrelevant, which is the only reason it makes any sense at all in the first place.

I use all kinds of weapons bar hybrids, hail is good as it is on TQ on ships like BSs, Sleipnir, AB Vaga/Cynabal, etc.
With no falloff penalty it was better than faction ammo with no real tradeoff. With 0.75 penalty it's a really really good T2 ammo which will be used by almost everyone able to fly AC ships, I'm fine with it.

Nooo!

But yes, I also understand the Hail thing a bit better now that I took a minute to think about it. I'm not so mad about it really.
