After going to EVE Vegas today, and talking to everyone, and talking to the CCP people about them... I realized I was definitely wrong...

The only reason I wanted to hate The New Order is because it felt like they were doing it to just be dicks (mainly because they speak like a cult, drop that **** seriously, I would have seen things your way a lot faster), now I realize the message they were trying to spread.. and I got the hint.

Im fitting a procurer with buffer and resistances and im gonna orbit my asteroids...

The simple fact of it is this is EVE , and security is a lie... their methods may be ******* annoying, but it certainly got me to change so mission accomplished... Though I wish you guys would take player age into account, It be pretty bad if you blew up new players too...

I am lost on everything except the common sense approach to not being ganked.

The roleplay drives people like you to go completely nuts which is fun to watch thereby increasing our enjoyment immensely. You don't have to go to Vegas to get it. Click on the "Links" section on minerbumping.com and actually read what James wrote in justifying the creation of the New Order. It should take you awhile and you'll learn a ton about the game you are playing. Every time we link that site and the pilot comes back 2min later spouting off a miner bingo square we know we have a live one who will probably make an excellent blog post.

I probably shouldn't mention this...if I had a boss I'd get fired for it...but look at the Code. Take away the roleplay you don't like and the first rule about permits.... read the Code from an Eve game play perspective. Ignoring all the rest I think you would be surprised at what it says. We've been around awhile and James should remove the one about the Mitani, but the rest of the Code...actually read it. That's what makes the New Order both great and an excellent source of hysterical tears, loot pinata ganks, and wonderful blog posts. No one reads the Code. They just get butt hurt at the roleplay. Its genius in my humble, but accurate, opinion.

I'm glad you seem to have come around. You posted on our forums that you were quitting Eve (but you liked it enough to go to Eve Vegas which is baffling) . I hope you've reconsidered and will keep playing. Oddly enough, if you stick to the Code, you'll fly safer in hisec and low/null/wh and you'll fly with an attitude that corresponds to that of someone playing a competitive video game.

i see what they mean, the longwinded, brehvikesque manifestos and general demeanour of make play sociopathy is sort of fitting.

In the future, to avoid having to write this tripe, please send the mining permit ISKs to me.

My permits are accepted everywhere, and I don't require that you **** up GD with this ****, or put anything in your bio.

Opposing New Order with the path of least resistance (unless we're talking shield resistance percentages, then you want more of that :p ), avoids either paying for their permits, or getting blown up, as much as possible.

Now.... when you're ready to leave mining behind, and follow the path or risk, danger, and violence... SMERG is always hiring :)

We exist solely to get the maximum enjoyment out of the game, by casting off our silly attachments to ships, and pitching ourselves into friendly combat with other players. Really, we just want to have fun, and occasionally prove that we are, in fact, a "T1 swarm of significantly better than you"
