Mittens said goons are bad at EVE, this is true. Yesterday i fall asleep when mining, and waked only to find my tanked orca badly dented but in one piece and kill rights for 21 members of goonswarm federation, their destroyers wrecks and bunch of concord by my side. Bear

So it was $200 to hear video game players talk about a video game?...in Vegas? What was in the hall next door? The brony convention?

Judging from the Twitter-verse the past few days, next year it should be called CFC Vegas. EVE didn't have much to do with it apparently.

It really was CFC Vegas from what could be seen on the stream. It was cool to get insight into Goon logistics even if you had to wade through a ton of self congralutory nonsense. And the poor Mittani...

I am currently attending EVE Vegas and have flown here from the UK. I Thought all the presentations were pretty good.

Joker was ok but I think was a little nervous but unless you have done public speaking before who wouldn't be?? there were around 200+ in the room at the time that was without the live feed.

Chribba Well I thought what he did was well presented and gave some great insight into how he started how he built up and what he's done for the EVE community via websites and such.

Both I got the impression were to show there's a lot more to EVE and you don't have to be in a 5000+ alliance to earn isk and make a difference.

Your not going to get some one speaking giving you a step by step guide in how to do stuff. This is how to fit a ship, this is how to earn lots of isk this is EVE Welcome to the Sand box....

$200 fee...well worth it let me explain from my point of view...

ok so $200 seems expensive let's work out what you get for that.

The material items Ok every player was given a model of a Tempest or Apocalypse players choice so there $50 to $75 off the eve store if I remember correctly.

A free T shirt as well as a digital version for your char.

a digital suit for your Dust char if you play that.

A Plex and a Pirate frig in game

Access to the VooDoo lounge that's $30 entry fee + free drinks and food for 3 hours. and believe me the drinks are not cheap I got 3 drinks after the free bit only vodka redbulls and stuff list me $43.

Dust 514 was set up on 10 machines maybe 12 for ever y one ti have a go at. 3v3 on the in development game EVE Valkyrie and also 5v5 EVE arena same idea as the AT's

near unlimited access to take to the devs and meet people from the game where I can tell you some of the alliances/Pacts coming out of here may be interesting over the next few months.....

AND AN AWESOME WEEK END!!!!!!!

Now tell me that's not worth $200

Now I am not a big fan of good in game but believe me in person there great guys as well as the .PL guy in his gull flight gear lol

My thoughts soldier out ... now really need to get ready for day 2
