Actually, both look really good.

Would you mind making one of me? If possible make it so it can be used as an avatar as well (this might affect the colouring and detail). If you're willing to do it take your time though, quality over speed imo :)

Exactly how is this 'pimped'?

A random full-picture background, an existing unmodifed portrait (o wait, perhaps a single overlayed filter) and a downloaded font?

This is 5 minutes of copy-paste work in photoshop, hardly worth a tip.

I could actually do it myself, I'm fairly decent with photoshop so I know how "easy" this is, the thing is that coming up with what to do with it differs per person and I probably wouldn't come up with what he did. Somone made something for me that made me smile and I'm happy with the effort, really that simple.

Besides, if you keep to your logic (which does make sense of course) then why are people paying millions for modern art or a Mondriaan? Actually, that's way more stupid that this :)

I could say the same about books, just a combination of pre-made words or an image, just a combination of pixels. Each combination of things in my work is different, that makes them unique :)

With the exception that a book requires thought, inspiritation, a solid flow and actual effort.

CTRL C, CTRL V - Save as.
