Hi!
I'm a newbie.
Found in the game mailing list "OXOTA". A man proposes to assemble a collection of 12 frozen clones. And pays 5 Plex. This is normal in eve, collecting corpses?

5 Plex for 12 corpses......must be very special corpses then, guys who collect them usually pay 1-5 Mil for each. And why the question if it is normal ? It's a game isn't it ?

Looking for a group to pew with ? Have a chat with me.

Yes, the Republic's Board of Capsuleer Physchologists agree the collection and trade of biomass among capsuleers is frequent enough to label it as a normal activity. Also realize modern preservation technology takes the edge off practices that were at one time deemed unethical by non-capsuleers.

not since CCP decided to kill off GSCs after 30d of inactivity, IIRC.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

If I had a Psychotic Monk corpse I would drink whiskey and make Zombie Monk awox all my other corpses and I'd film it and put it on youtube... in fact.. forget the zombie awox... where is my whiskey?

Yes. They are like 'ears' in diablo, a token of killing someone in PvP, except you didn't just kill their ship, you killed their pod. Pods can be worth a few million, to several billion, and nothing is salvageable, it is pure loss. Current 'pirating' doctrine is more about causing loss than it is about looting more than you lose.

The other things about pods is that they have tasty jelly inside, and a little person just waiting to get out.
