Interested in playing poker for ISK?Check out EOH Poker Cash and Tournament games http://www.eohpoker.com chat channel EOH Poker
Automated FREEROLL. Everyday

After cashing out my poker account for the need of the capital. Recently paid some isk into my poker account to play the cash games. Already over 1bill isk in profit. Big smile

On side note DT tournament games seem to be little slow filling. Im not always on so i could be wrong. Do you think going back to the standard style tournament with set time limit to enter, then starting with however many enter upto max of 10 would be worth trying. Personally i think these give better value for money.

If game is 5 players wta
6-8 players 1st 60% 2nd 40%
9-10 players 1st 50% 2nd 30% 3rd 20%

It all depends on what the players want to play. When we first started we played standard tournaments. then someone came up with DT game and was extremely popular and the games filled so fast.

For me ive always thought as a player value for isk is in the old style tournaments. Made profits from both. Both have been fun.
Been playing DT for few years now, i think everyone know how to play them. Maybe not as easy to make profits in them. if your not making isk people may not enter as much.

Just little observation from the time im on. It all depends what the players want to play at the end of the day. For me my preference are cash games anyway.

Congrats to EOH Guys and bankers that keep service going. Still great service after all these years.

Heya,

I am new to EOH Poker, and I wanted to leave some feedback during my very short time here. While negative, this bit of feedback isn't really meant as a warning to potential players, but more of a notice to the staff, who I've known firt hand to be quite helpful and professional.

I am a novice at Poker, and while I don't have my technique or strategy down, I do know the rules to the game, the ins and outs, etc.

I notice that every time I try to play EOH Poker, everyone is occupying the beginner table. Upon playing a hand or two, I am vastly out played. Now yes, everyone and their grandparents can attest to my own poor decision making with my hands, but I'd like the benefit of the doubt, and imply that perhaps the staff of EOH Poker can do more to keep the beginner table open to players who are actually beginners.

I am aware that the player base at any given time is not that magnificent, but I don't see why the clump of active players have to occupy the beginner table.

And please do respect my feedback, I don't feel like having to peek at this thread again and feeling that I need to defend myself and the way I feel about it. I am aware that the table has a maximum buy in, but that does not stop people from playing on that table for hours, accumilating many more chips beyond the maximum, giving them serious betting power over someone who joins the table with forty chips and very little skill.

While I'd really love to participate in the game, I have to abstain simply because playing against players who seem to have that much more experience than me in a table they don't belong at, simply wastes my time.

Hope this could be helpful, friends.

Hi, thanks for the feedback! I think that it's perfectly reasonable to expect to be able to use our Beginner tables to learn the game.

I'm sure you'll understand that we have no reliable way of determining the skill level of a poker player, so it would be improper of us to actively enforce any new policy where players we subjectively perceive to be too highly skilled to be playing on those tables are denied access.

However, there are a couple of automated options that we could consider. We could either limit access to beginner tables to players whose accounts are below a certain age, or limit the maximum number of chips allowed in play per player on those tables. I've requested both options from the developer of the third-party poker software we use. Of those options, I think I prefer the latter, but we'll discuss this internally before changing anything.

Meanwhile, I suggest participating in our Freeroll tournaments. These are excellent for learning, because you don't have to pay anything to enter them! These currently run at 02:00 and 16:00 (EVE Time) every day, with a larger tournament running every Friday at 23:00.

Thanks again,
Niraia

Hey again,

I am aware of all the issues that "come standard" with online poker, such as exploits, etc. I don't blame EOH Poker for not being able to stop them.

I do very much think that limiting the amount of chips in play would be a great idea. It almost seems necessary to counteract the persistent nature of those tables. I hope that change can come about soon!
