If you push into Highsec your gonna lose casual non pvp players to other space games , especially Star Citizen. Sure you can go with the mentality "Haha leave noob" but lets face it , your economy, and CCP's income, largely comes from that sit around and do nothing playerbase.

Whos gonna mine all that ore for the ships to be made so you can keep blowing them up?
Whos gonna pay for all those expansions that you like getting free so much?
Whos gonna buy the plex and sell to you for ISK so you dont have to subscribe?

SO please someone explain to me why we all hate Carebears? Just because you cant touch their privates without getting blown up by concord? Is that what this is really all about?

I dont usually like to get involved in Eve crap, I like my little hyperion in her little station, its probably always gonna sit there and keep being my money sink. But its starting to get annoying that I read all these threads and suicide ganker mottos that have no sort of logical thought about the effect obliterating highsec would have on the game.

YOUR EVE WOULD NOT EXSIST WITHOUT IT, THIS IS WHY CCP KEEPS IT, LUCKILY THEY ARENT AS DUMB AS YOU.

Thats my TL;DR.


Sheep vs wolves, that's all there is too it, plus success in eve always involves predatory behaviour.

Dumbing down of Eve Online will result in it's destruction...

Arbitrary comment. I do have an EVElopedia entry, though. And I gave that "reimbursing their ships" schtick up, a while back. ISK only holds out for so long, though it is fun, every once in a while, to bring yourself back up from a zero wallet balance.

Lol, I guess you are confused about what Sol does for a living. It sure doesn't have to do with enforcing a lame code for miners in hisec. He was right though, you guys are getting spergy.

I've been around for maybe 3 months now.. I'm still very new since I am still learning. I have never been ganked, plenty of people helped in Help Chat(miss it to this day) and still help in Help. You are still relatively safe if you play smart. Those new players you probably speak of 1.) didnt' read anything on this game or 2.) come from shti games like WoW(Love Blizzard for WC and SC) that killed the mmorpg genre and think everything should be handed to them. This isn't that game or any games that have come out since it.

We want intelligent players here that understand and grasp that this game isn't for everyone its for those that actually want to maybe accomplish doing something, anything since you can do anything in this game. If you don't understand that then this game isn't for you.

It's actually very simple:

What the carebears say and what the PvP'ers say are actually the same thing. Carebears want everyone to leave them alone (dictating that everyone should play the game their way by leaving them alone) and PvP'ers kill everyone saying that it's a PvP game and you have to accept it (therefore playing it there way).

There is no difference between the two groups. You can try and deny it, but there isn't.

When everyone realises that this is a sandbox game and that everyone is affected by everyone else, then people might start understanding and the bickering will stop... Actually scratch that, we're human, the bickering will never stop Big smile

First, these New Order people are carebears. Predatory but carebears nonetheless. They like killing folks who can't fight back. "Oh but it's role playing." RIght. Should be called "Georgy Porgy."

If one is so caught up in a videogame that they "hate" someone, its time to reboot.

Now on the other hand carebears who whine when they know what EVE is about are just contemptible. There are ways to prevent getting ganked, period.

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there.

Ok, but are you thinking at all what are you going to do after you have finished training all your mining skills to the max?
It does not even take a full year to do all of it.

So what do you train next? What will you try to do next? Mining is not the end of the game for eve. It is just a start.

I can understand a lot of players get started with mining. and you can always go back to that for a source of income later if you choose, but after you train for other things and start earning isk faster it opens other doors for you. Unless you really enjoy mining. Players are free to do what ever they want in eve. Just know that their is always a cost to do business.
