Look at the prices of the gold pod.

only three on market lowest price 15 bil

one buy order for 7 bil

damn wished I had not plugged mine in now :(

CCP can't take the risk of backstabbing the colleters edition people. They are great costumers, and would be severly offended by making this collecters item availeble for anything less than an actual bougth olleters edition.

I'm probably going to sell mine, as I bougth the collecters edition for the hardware (book, cd, etc)

Don't care. its a golden pod. Money is easy to make, golden pods are unique.

I'd be surprised if the price was at or below the CE cost level, and not somewhat higher.

$150 USD per CE / $17 per PLEX = ~8 PLEX = ~5 billion ISK

Let's give CCP the benefit of the doubt and assume that the only way to ever get a gold pod implant is to buy a Collector's Edition. Have they ever said that the number of CE was limited? Or that it would only be produced and sold for a limited time? Or that the current price will never be lowered? As a business, I expect CCP would want to sell as many CE as they can, keep selling them for as long as buyers want to buy them, and eventually mark them down to sell even more. In the future, every time they add another "mystery item" to the game, more players will want a mystery code to unlock it, so interest in CE will be periodically renewed. I'm not saying the gold pod won't hold a high value. It will, because of the fact that it only works for one character, and the number of characters in the game far exceeds the number of players. But there is a limit to how high the value can be as long as new CE are readily available.

I can't decide what character to use the implant on. It'd be a waste to use it on a station trader or indy char that doesn't get out much. Maybe I'll create a new alt just for the purpose. I wonder if Auric Goldpod is available?
