actually bombing directy a caracal with 1250 +25% cap (skill) = 1562 total cap in GJ with a void bomb (wich drain 1800 GJ in description) directly at 0km (30 km from start) the caracal remain with a 25-30% of capacitor.

We tried with a moa and is the same (1875 GJ cap total) result with a 25% remaining cap!

why?
the void dont drain a fix amount? there are skill for resisting this drain?

Don't bombs use the same "hit" and "damage applied" math as a missile?

So, yeah, they neut 1800 cap, but only on something where the signature radius is the same as (or larger than) the explosion radius of the bomb. Explosion velocity/target velocity probably also affects it.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

Target speed does not affect bomb effects, only sig radius (and resists for actual damage of course)

This is why small ships are only partially damaged by bombs and not instantly annihilated. If you are in an interdictor or something and you see a bomber between 15-45km from you, TURN OFF THE MWD, YOU WILL SURVIVE.

If it's 15km away from you just burn up to it and two shot it....

Does caps lock help end your MWD cycle faster?

The OP has a point.

Outside of the side-bar comments - Voids do damage. The drain is the primary desired effect but the bomb itself does a trivial amount of damage (7 dmg to each resist).

Following any logic on "bomb effect reduction due to sig" then you should also apply tracking and such for neuts and nos to reduce their effects.
