What is with the carebear hate?

Countless threads on the issue...
Theres even pvp'ers who dedicate themselves to killing highsec miners...

What is the big deal? Why do some of you go as far as to make crusades against Hisec?

So a person plays a different type of EVE then you? Why does that frustrate you so much? I for one sit in a hangar all day staring at my hyperion , thats EVE to me... literally thats what ive done the last month, thats why I pay $15 a month... Why should that bother you?

Its not like theres a lack of pvp'ers, you guys blow each other up all the time. So why try and push people who just wanna fly around in a ship and blow up rats, or mine the heck out of an asteroid.. or like me just like big ships in general and stare at them?

Let me break this down for you, I've only been here a month and I can already tell this will happen.

If you push into Highsec your gonna lose casual non pvp players to other space games , especially Star Citizen. Sure you can go with the mentality "Haha leave noob" but lets face it , your economy, and CCP's income, largely comes from that sit around and do nothing playerbase.

Whos gonna mine all that ore for the ships to be made so you can keep blowing them up?
Whos gonna pay for all those expansions that you like getting free so much?
Whos gonna buy the plex and sell to you for ISK so you dont have to subscribe?

SO please someone explain to me why we all hate Carebears? Just because you cant touch their privates without getting blown up by concord? Is that what this is really all about?

I dont usually like to get involved in Eve crap, I like my little hyperion in her little station, its probably always gonna sit there and keep being my money sink. But its starting to get annoying that I read all these threads and suicide ganker mottos that have no sort of logical thought about the effect obliterating highsec would have on the game.

YOUR EVE WOULD NOT EXSIST WITHOUT IT, THIS IS WHY CCP KEEPS IT, LUCKILY THEY ARENT AS DUMB AS YOU.

Thats my TL;DR.

Some people don't understand the delicate balance in EVE. By soley killing miners those idiots are indirectly causing their own ships to become more expensive Lol

You appear to be confused as to the difference between a carebear industrialist (yay)

and an AFK Bot-Aspirant scumbag (BBBEEEWWWWWWW)

Again, this has NO bearing on your game , in fact it supports your playstyle by making YOUR ships... leave ur PVP vendettas where they belong, low/null sec

Because people think Eve should be played exactly how they play it, or they just want more easy targets and thus want everyone to live in Space where ganking is damned easy.

I've highlighted the issue many people have 'against' 'carebears', or AFK 'players' - For the most part Game Mechanics are at fault in many ways, but at least you know where the forums are, so there is hope for you yet.

Your Eve wouldn't exist without the near constant destruction of player built assets - Imagine if what was made was limited to the character who built it in the first place. YEURGH, no market, no PVP, no point at all.

High sec can be interesting and with the player controlled Poco's it will be very interesting to see what happens over the first six months or so.

There's a lot of logic in competing against other players in a player versus player game, be it market pvp, or blowing up stuff pvp.

Its time to stand up against the bad empire based CEO telling falsehoods about what new characters can accomplish and pushing them towards an in game experience of drudgery and loneliness keeping them in the shadow of ignorance for at nest their own profit at worse apathy towards all the experiences that Eve has to offer.

You are not trying to understand

You ask a question, then ignore the answer

You accuse, though you yourself claim that others accuse or act unfairly

You assume, without proof or anything but vitriol

CCP... disagrees with you.. the giant company who makes millions of this game... disagrees with you... do you ever consider why?

Because they know better, they know your petty mentality that everyone should pvp would NOT support this game

They dont "hurt" MY game

But

I dont know why they do it

I assume they do it because they want a game which plays itself

I can't be expected to understand the minds of those too lazy to actually play the game

But I DO understand why those who punish them do it

If you actually read the Code you'd understand too

Its pretty obvious really

Ramona seems to be hitting on all cylinders today...

Also, sandbox. You can fight this precieved "hate" by wardecking the offending corp, moving to a different region, or you can hide in a wormhole and mine all day like me Big smile

The best part of this game is you can play the way you want even if the way you want to play is to **** on other playstyles.

Because Im new I can bring the perspective of a new player, something you have forgotten what is like.

I would NOT buy plex for this game if there was no highsec...
I would NOT subscribe to this game monthly if there was no highsec...

There would be NO point, because my little tiny expensive ship would be blown up instantly.

I would NOT derive any fun from having to always watch my back no matter WHERE I was with no safe zone.

Could you tell those people leaving that I very much would like to keep their stuff safe?

Quote:

1. When mineral prices rise, more people will go mining because it will be worth more
2. What do you mean? Do you think that only miners pay to play this game?
3. Let me explain:

- A miner makes 15M ISK per hour and can dedicate 30 hours each month to this activity. He pays for his account with cash and has 450M ISK to spend on PvP ships. With no ganking, he has no operating expense.
- A high-sec incursion runner makes 80M ISK per hour and can dedicate 30 hours each month to this activity. He can buy a PLEX to pay for his game time and has 1.8B to spare for PvP. With no ganking, he only has to spend a little ISK for ammo.
- A PvP player makes 0 ISK per hour and can dedicate 30 hours each month to this activity. He pays for his account with cash and has to sell PLEX to the miner, missioner and incursion runners to keep him in PvP ships.

You see: There is no reason why a miner, missioner or incursion runner would need to sell a PLEX. Ever.

Yet you still felt the urge to create another one.

I read your code, its a bunch of rubbish. Its a screen for the fact you like pretending it is for the betterment of mankind.

I really wish one day every highsec player would quit... could u imagine the fallout from that? Why is it so hard for you to see what a detriment to this game it would be, why would you risk the current balance of this game and its continued exsistance just so you can have your way.
