That implies that exceptions to the ToS and EULA can be made.

Exactly

Yes, somer employees get paid in ISK, for updating wallet status/posting contracts, both of which are done IN-GAME and therefore are not a violation of EULA/ToS.

Doesn't explain the personal ISK commission they get for selling GTCs. Also I like you.

I didn't know that they got ISK for selling GTC's and if that is true I don't know where it fits in the ToS though its an interesting proposition.

I don't know you well enough to like you, but im open to it so lets take it slow for now.

CCP said it was fine.

Actually, it wasn't enough so they needed some special scorpion presents

Pretty sure TMC sells GTC? (Correct me if I am wrong).

Also, TMC isn't just for Eve. Its a gaming news website not just aimed at Eve Online. Sure it might have sprouted from it but even so...

I agree, but they pay for non-eve related articles with ISK which is a violation of the TOS....

I actually never knew that... And if it's true then they must have been givem permission to do so... They probably wouldn't have lasted as long as they have if not...

Edit: Just finished reading the second link. Huh go figure they do pay with isk... Either way they must have been given express permission otherwise they wouldn't be doing it / have been doing it this long.

Isn't this the same argument that was shouted down from EVE-GAMES?

Eve news 24 so bad.

The 24 refers to how many hours it takes them to get their news after TMC has posted it, and done a 10x better article.

Oh and they have reverted to posting opinion pieces and reposting blogs. I doubt they even read the cr*p gevlon goblin puts up. 'ganking takes l33t pvp skills', 'look at mah killboard, i'm elite pvp', 'everyone just hates me cos i'm so l3333t and their arguments are invalid'. It's like watching a slow descent into insanity. And thats why TMC is 100000 times better than EN24.

and that's also why en24 is the worst RMTer atm and riverni should be perma banned.

lols.

You forgot ' And i'm so frikking spacerich i am THE marketeer of marketeers' ...

Just trying to help out ...

SOMER gets paid for the GTC referral. SOMER's "employees" don't. They get paid in isk (or so a SOMER employee told me and according to their website).

It wouldn't surprise me, if you don't believe that its a violation of the EULA/TOS file a petition and ask the GM's if you can buy articles with ISK, they'll say no...I just don't know how so many have gotten away with it....

Honestly couldn't say bud...

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

Actually all TMC articles are written and submitted through the INGAME browser, therefore it's not a violation of the EULA/ToS

wow the NPC alt in the OP is clearly the first to bring this up

oh wait no, people have complained about this a million times and it's pretty obvious that CCP doesn't care

npc alts have no opinions worth consideration
