I posted on this on the dev blog, but I figured I should reinforce it here on the test server feedback.

First, I applaud you CCP for making the effort to make isk better in 0.0. However, you did it completely wrong.

With these changes I will effectively make less isk/hour, a lot less. With these changes I will probably be making half the isk/hour I do right now.

Please, I beg you comprehend the changes that you are doing because this is very, very bad. I am appalled that you don't grasp how some of us making our isk/hour.

For those that dont understand.

All CCP did was add more ships (BS and BCs to pump up the ISK:EHP ratio) to the anomalies, effectively making them harder to run, so you can't solo them as easily as you could.

The bounties on the ships have not changed, at all.

Simply put
You need a better tank, which means you have worse gank.

Let me reiterate that fact. You need a better tank so you have to drop damage mods, so you will be doing less DPS.

Less damage = killing a lot slower = worse isk/hour. This is *very* bad.

Right now I can make 90ish mil solo per hour. After patch, ill be lucky to hit 45-50.

Please do NOT do this. This is the wrong way to do it.

Edit: Also since anomalies will now take much longer, we will also have less faction spawns/escalations...

Good intentions ccp, terrible execution.

This is a a significant nerf. What a joke.

I guess there is always high sec incursions....

EDIT 2: for those who can't comprehend what ISK:EHP buffing actually did and that close range dps > long range dps.

They made Anomalies "worth more" by putting more ships in them

Effectively Lowering the Isk/Hour, because anomalies take longer and are harder to do, so you need a better tank and less gank.

They think making them "worth more" is equal to Isk per hour. Which is pretty hilarious and sad.

I too want to just warp into an anomaly and receive isk in my wallet. Having to work for it is just outrageous!

Considering you can make upwards of 80-100 mil isk an hour running incursions in high sec, 0 risk, all day every day, and in 0.0 you cant make any money due to a cloaky AFK person or other roaming gangs, and when you are able to make money its like a beached whale trying to run a marathon. ON TOP of that, you would now need a second person on grid, to help you tank the anoms cutting the isk income in half.... in systems that WE FOUGHT FOR... you know the whole pvp thing that CCP wants us to do, but not be able to afford to do........
CCP needs to up the bounty of the rats, NOT Double to number of them.

1. Bring a friend
2. Shoot more ships
3. ???
4. Profit!

It's supposed to be a multiplayer game, right? Besides, what should CCP do? If they keep anomalies the same difficulty and just increase the loot that will inflate the market and fsck everybody.

yes you are right, it is. With a friend you should make more isk per hour than you do solo. After patch it wont be like that either. Again, they are making 0.0 isk/hour worse.

I thought the "point" of this change is to make 0.0 a better place to live and make more isk. This does not achieve this, in fact the reverse.

Bottom Line: They really did not consider the fact that anomalies are going to be significantly harder making you kill ships slower due to the need of much better tank. They just think "more ships to kill more isk per hour". This is just flat wrong.

How to fix: Make the anomalies have more waves, not bigger spawns, ie. not 8 battleships in the initial spawn of a forsaken hub and then have a (random? had this happen a couple times on sisi) trigger spawn 4 more bs and a bunch of bcs. I think i had something like 10+ battleships, and 10+battlecruisers/hacs. That's ridiculous to tank.

all I got from this was that we need to nerf highsec incursions as well.

If ISK faucets need to be slowed, incursions are where CCP should be looking, not 0.0 anomalies.

CCP's intended effect here is to improve 0.0 anoms and once again they have failed. Adding more ships and more viable anoms does not help the situation - there are always more anomalies/more ships to kill in an upgraded system and while improving the lower tier anoms will allow more people to profit simultaneously in VERY crowded systems it will in no way increase the isk/ratio under normal circumstances. In fact, it will go down as anoms become more difficult and require more tank.

A lot of people are saying that's great because inflation hurf durf, and people are entitled to that opinion, but that is not the intended effect of the change.

Hopefully CCP realizes that many of the people cheering for the change and opposing the OP are doing so because they perceive the change will lower isk/hr for anomalies.

tl:dr You can add as many ships as you want, but the rate at which a pilot can kill them will remain constant or decrease due to increased tanking needs.

They're not just "adding more ships"; they're adjusting the aggregate ISK:EHP ratio of the rats in the different sites. Seriously, did none of you read the whole blog post?

lol silly people, distance = low damage? wow... get in a maelstrom with 1400mm *8 and load up some decent ammo ... and 1-2 shot battleships from FAR lol

Also i havent looked at the anomolies yet... but honestly more ships is not less ISK per hour...

As long as they didnt add 1000 frigates that you ahve to kill per spawn they didnt nerf it... if they added more bs's then they did improve it as that means less warping and more grinding in each anom those 1.1m bs's

And yes i noticed that some people seemed to miss the ISK:EHP part... for those that dont understand.. that means BS's will be worth more than they normally are and frigs will be around the same or less... why? Because that means the more ehp u can chew through per second the more isk you make per hour.

You clearly have not been on Sisi. I have.

They are making the ratio better because there are more battleships/battlecruisers. These have a better ISK:EHP ratio. So in other words, they added a bunch of BS and BCs to the sites. So in theory you can make more isk/hour because you have to kill more bs/bc and compared to frigates.

They did not factor in that you will have to tank more battleships and battlecruisers, requiring less gank and more tank.

I assume you are simply trolling at this point.

"

Dont make assumptions until you get on sisi. BS are not worth more, there are simply MORE of them.

Take a better ship. Complaining that there are 'too many ships' is the most ******** thing I've ever heard of, given that it's the ships that bring the money.

In my humble opinion, everyone is already steamrolling anoms with Tengus. Or Carriers. Or Rattlesnakes. Or some kind of überspaceship.

Tank isn't a problem. I mean, I fly a Machariel. I know what it means to "barely tank" something. But really, I had more troubles in some lvl4s in Empire space (Like Ennemies abound 5/5, or Smash the Supplier, where you have 20 Amarr BSs + some elite BSs, the Jakhars, if you don't kill the tower before more BSs spawn). I don't think that's normal. I mean, in Empire space everything is and should be easier.

Just upgrade your tank a little bit. Appart from the Machariel and the Drake, I don't know which race would have ships who can't tank the new anoms.

If you're Minmatar : Get a Maelstrom. If you have a Machariel, upgrade your shield modules, or get a fleet booster in a POS.

If you're Gallente : Hey, an Ishtar can tank everything. A Kronos would do the job aswell, especially with the incoming hybrid changes :)

If you're Amarr : A Nightmare can overtank and it can still deal DPS because of the shield tank.

If you're Caldari : Grab a decent Tengu, you'll tank whatever comes your way. Or, grab a Golem maybe (Actually, the Golem would be great. More battleships => More hittable targets for the Golem)

This post is absurd. No, more Battleships and DPS in anomalies doesn't make less money. Your linear calculations are flawed.

You get more total money per anomaly, other people may participate, if you can't actively tank, then try speed tanking, getting out of range or signature tanking. This is all possible. You get more money per anomaly, you do not finish it as rapidly, less time wasted on looking for new anomalies. The fighting part is bigger than the searching part. You theoretical ISK/minute counter is a miscalculation. If you finish one anomaly quick, you don't get another one instantly.
