Actually I thought it was a genuine and legal attempt to sell GTC and raffle his character.

That is unless CCP has suddenly changed its mind about the legalized RMT occurring in this game?

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

are you really surprised though? i was expecting it to happen quicker tbh

they did this when the initial Somergate story broke... at one point all but maybe 2 threads on the first page were locked using the flimsiest excuses.

I can understand that they locked a lot of threads, beacause there were 20 threads talking about the same thing. I can't understand why the are so ******* cowards once someone makes a point and criticises thier business model with RMT as long as they get a revenue.

EDIT: Ey, CCP. I have a RMT business going and we can make 50/50. That seems to be the point where RMT becomes legal. Pathetic.

How is making money from referals while providing an Eve related gambling service any different from making money from adverts while providing Eve related news, or making money from the very same referal program while running a corp or alliance forum? Why are people upset about one but not the other?

It's only a troll if it isn't true.

He's selling his stuff - by an approved method per CCP Guard and company. After all, if SOMERblink is 100% trustworthy, then using intermediate currency in an effort to make cash off of RMT'ing through GTC's cannot be a violation of the EULA, can it? So why can't DNSBlack sell off his stuff through similar means?

As for a sense of community - CCP tossed that one out the window when they decided to get in bed and use SOMER to run their microtransactions that we the players already have already made clear we don't want.

But more than that ISD guy - did you attend the CCP course on damage control? Locking DNSBlack's thread? Bold my friend.

Watch out for that bus by the way.

Effectively, CCP is currently deciding whether to enforce their rules or change them. But it is clear that they are not currently taking any action against this form of RMT (it's offered on a number of sites).
