there i was overexcited about new expansion(rubicon) and custom made space stations. recently i was browsing web and in conjuction with that i had and idea - custom ship hulls.

idea simple but mby hard to implement, take a frigate hull and chose where to mount my AB/MWD/random module, cus now fitting might be totally different as black and white but ship still looks the same. Duno if anyone have ever suggested this, but i think this would be nice feature to make my own ship look like i want it to look at least closer what i would like it to look. What do you guys think about this idea? imagine frigate with both engines on the one side, and guns on the other side( would impact in what positions guns are able to shoot :D) im just writing all im thinking and from that same "wonder pot" hiding behind asteroids, how come lazers/guns ( not missiles, cus missiles can fly around :D) can shoot trough stuff like derbis/ asteroids /space stations/ etc. Imo they should smash derbis/whatever in the way with one or more volleys and then u are on the mercy of guns .

ok im done nomore ideas, feel free to comment any word from devs would be appreciated if they ever stumble upon my post.Roll

[edit] btw idk if this is the right place for this post. feel free to move it to right place if any

I'm going to give you a nice first post because I have the feeling the rest are going to be horrible to you.

- design phase: 10 days*
- implementation: 20 days*
- Time after deployment until every second ship looks like genitalia: 20 seconds

TTP*: 0.043453 seconds.

*Time to pen1s: The inevitability that given the chance to customise our ships, it will take exactly this long before the first penis or phallic shaped ship or nose art is deployed.

Edit: I missed the above post, but yeah... it's pretty much the truth.

And what's the point of all that? How much time you enjoy watching your semi-customizable T3s? Do you spend 50% of your average game session time on it? 30%? Oh... maybe 10%? No?
So why devs must implement such a useless feature? EVE is not content-based game.

I hope you understand.

Can I customize my ship with a small gerbil sized tube located near the engine ports?

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

we don't even have to do anything -- see:Thorax, and variants.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

There is a "Search" function on these forums for a reason. Use it.

Only if it's an exit-only tube.

I'd make mine look like a nice rack with two large gun hardpoints up front.

The problem is that too many people will go out of their way to make down right ugly, stupid or offensive looking ships simply to 'troll' the rest of us.

The art/design team put a lot of effort into their work, your idea ruins that.

What we do need are some CCP designed and approved ship skins. Finally a use for Aurim.
Oh and corp/alliance decals.
