CCP should hide it's head in utter shame for not recognizing and to act upon activity which so obviously DOES cause discomfort and IS causing it's PAYING MEMBERS a degree of unnecessary anxiety. This goes beyond being acceptable behavior in a game IMHO.

more stuff...

This is probably the best part Lol.

I did follow the NO for some time. Bumping miners is just as interesting as mining rocks. But as gankers, they provide an excellent service to HS Pirate.

A healthy and thrilling feeling of anxiety is something to look out for. EVE is not about comfort. And last but not least: I'm a paying customer too. I do not share your opinions.

Oh good god ... I totally skipped that part (I have only trained tear collection L2Oops)

I'll try to put this as nicely as possible:

EvE is most definitely not for everyone. If the game is causing you that much undue stress/anxiety, then leave. This is just a game, and should allow you to relax, or have fun.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

Oh, so am I. And sometimes you get what's coming around, and sometimes you ARE what's coming around.

Indeed, and every miner not adhering to The Code will find that KARMA will haunt them forever (or until they do start following The Code).

Only just finished reading Le Judge's tale of woe

Oh and in addition to this, move to another spot within high sec. If they follow you, report them for harassment.
CCP have clearly stated that while bumping itself is not against the rules, following people when they've made an attempt to move away is harassment.
See here

"CCP considers the act of bumping a normal game mechanic, and does not class the bumping of another player’s ship as an exploit. However, persistent targeting of a player with bumping by following them around after they have made an effort to move on to another location can be classified as harassment, and this will be judged on a case by case basis."

"Ideally you would move to other systems and more than just one or two jumps to avoid being found again quickly, requiring some effort to locate you again (i.e. through locator agents)."

Get from that what you want, but what's being said here is that you [the bumpee] will have to make an effort to move away from the system/area that is being targeted. So much so that it would require effort by the bumper to try and locate you again.

Also, seeing as the most recent posts were about the player who lost a plex in his cargo, your post is directed towards a miner getting bumped, not a hauler getting ganked for loots. But thank you for refreshing our memories!

If carebears played correctly, then they wouldn't die like this. There are several ways to mine afk without being bumped and to avoid having your hauler destroyed.

What carebears want is to not have to play correctly.

Wow, clearly the game needs to be changed so their method of play is now correct.

Learn to tank.

After the first fifty or so morons that got Concorded while I laughed at them and collected the stuff from their wrecks, they've pretty much left my miner alone.

So, of course you are not their first customer. You are just one in a long line of people that are afraid of their fellow players. Not the best thing to be while playing an MMO.

Players said miner bumping is griefing.

CCP said, "No way."

Players pointed out that on their own website CCP called miner bumping griefing.

CCP's response? They changed the website.

CCP spent all that money for bots to find bots. Don't really need the miner bumping farce to continue. Except maybe the comic value (seriously the New Order guys are dedicated to their RP which can lead to hilarious local chats).

I read through their manifesto and beliefs that allow them to do what they are doing. “Ramblings of a madman” What they are doing is nothing short of a Mafia style protection scam. Pay us or -------

Sure 10 million isk is not all that much to pay – yet you must display your New Order ID number in your bio (Badge of Shame) for them to leave you alone.

No matter how eloquent their verbiage and solidly based on what they can get away with, following current game mechanics, it is still bullying and intimidation of the populous of the EVE community.

Seeing how on line bullying is a major subject of disdain within the entire Internet Community, maybe CCP needs to take a look at this.

I am sure that I am not their first “Customer – forced to wear their badge of SHAME in my bio to prevent then from further intimidation.” and strengthen their community influence.
