Sockets still closing randomly, and repeatedly sometimes every 5 minuets, Come on CCP fix this :(

This problem-started with Odyssey-running Ping Plotter seemed to remove the trouble...soon as Odyssey 1.1 went active..it returned-every session random D/Cs...yes...multiple clients up...only one or two disconnect the rest stay up...Internet runs fine...had enough-it so obvious that something was botched somewhere-five subs. cancelled today.

And this wonderful feature is back...wanted to play but it wouldnt log me in and after a few minutes "socket closed" ....which means even if i do get in the game, itll probably kick me out.

If you could just skip one round of "expansions" and FIX the bugs and stupid **** in this game it would be awesome and more appreciated than shiny new junk.

now, sky has reported some sucky bad internet problems of late however, only several days ago, and only over a 2 day period contacting them has proven fruitless for faults on my line so as everyone else has said, the fault isnt on my end, it must be server/client issue. i got a brand new router the other day just incase... same.

This doesnt even happen in high player areas.. or for any decearnable reason (using a particular button/action/influence in game. just wholey random.

i have 4 accounts, all socket close at once, they are run on 1 pc, but its a beast and could handle many more if i add more screens, i multiboxed on another mmo for over 3 years no problem and with far more open windows. 1 week of having 4 toons and ive socket closed more than i can recall.

this only happens to eve client. nothing else im running.

i have tried every method i know and every method mentioned here if i hadnt allready.

i run my own mining fleet trying to be a "good guy" for the eve economy.. orcas freight hulks/covetors..., one day this is gonna cost me a small(large) fortune in isk if a lucky ganker happens by my fleet sitting there with me knocked off eve... and make me so disenfranchised ill turn to pirating... again.. please sort this out. or clarify the issue so it can be worked around or patched or anything..

Please PLEASE dont make me go back to other online games, i love eve too much.

I've had the socket error about 7-9 times tonight, on both Tranq and Sisi

Im in Australia.

Edit- I've come back from a bit of a break so I might have missed earlier problems. I was googling "socket closed" and struck across this. Kinda sad to see this is a common problem. Hopfully Im not off on break again too soon! Ugh

I have no computer or network issues. Only when I try to connect to EVE do I receive socket issues. It may not be CCPs network, but the recent patch definitely had something to do with it.

Same issue ... again. 3 days without any trouble, then yesterday... socket closed 10 times even bevore I could choose which character to play.

Yeah having this problem since latest patch. Ziggo user form Netherlands.

Multiple socket closed errors a day on multiple accounts, Its doing my head in now.

Also receiving socket closed problem.
Sometimes I get lucky and can play for an hour, other times its only 5 minutes, which is very frustrating during combat.
My ISP = Telefonica - Spain.
I have re-installed twice, changed router/modem, disabled my firewall completely, had the ports opened at the the ISP and on my router.
This would lead me to assume the problem is your end.
Have had this problem for quite some time now, and have sent 2 bug reports but no fix has appeared.
Any help is much appreciated.

I have just come back and have payed for 2 months, I cant complete a mission with out "the socket was closed" notice coming up, I would like a refund or free game time as this is extremely annoying. I have had no problem with my internet or other mmo's.

I have contacted support.

I basically got told its my isp and desync.

This is totally wrong.

I personally have found a work around for my problem but i would be interested to see if it fixes others.

I'm running win 7
I kept getting socket closed again and again.
I noticed when i run eve my lan card dropped the lan connection completely but the router remained fine.
I now run the Game in win xp sp3 compatibility mode and with admin rights. this has completely solved my problem.
Absolutely no socket closed messages even when i left the game running over night.

running the game with just admin rights never solved the problem but with the win xp sp3 compatibility also included its working fine, no problems with my lan card at all now.

If anyone else with this problem could try this and post if it fixed or didn't fix i would appreciate it.

it stared lastnight ı m getting that error entering the game (in station ) after 1-2 m mostly and sometimes after 5-10 min. and there is too much daley (lag) on windows like mails and invention screen

ı didnt try to unduck yet couz game not stable and ı dont want stay on space..

and lucnher doesnt working too ı m useing evefile.exe to loging...

ı tryed reinstal game .. no help
resent my modem.. no help
use repair tool.. no help

ı have 2 pc both have same problem
game was fine last 2-3 year no problem but its started suddenly ı didnt change modem setting or virus program or instal new one... ı log off while playing normal after 2 hour tryed loging to game again but didnt work well

Which version of windows 7 you running buddy? 32bit/64bit? Home premium, professional etc?

I had no problem for weeks but since this morning it's just not possible to play every 5 minutes I get a socket was closed error anyboy else?

This is the 3d day I can't login. Have changed ports and open ports to 3724. First I thought it was my connection. But today I started googling and I see these threads when others have same problem.

Am I/are we really gonna pay for this ****?

YAY \o/ I managed to get online with my other account to set my training going.. But now not able to login with this, where my skills have been inactive for like 2days atleast.

So am I suppose to pay for this? I am expecting at very least to get the time I lost added to my account.
