Are Caldari the worst race when it comes to ships?

Caldari ships bad? Shocked

Cerberus. (Fantastic missile boat, both good against small ships and larger ships).

Falcon. (Reasons stated above).

Naga. (One hell of a sniper).

Widow. (Arguably the best of the Black Ops ships).



As for your point about Incursions, from what I hear a shield fleet filled with nothing but RNI's and SNI's is a cruise missle killing force to be reckoned with. (But thats what I heard, not talking from experience there).

Agreed. I love the hull of the Widow.

I do prefere the Rokh to the Naga hull though. And my guilty pleasure is the Phoenix hull. It just looks like a dread should in my opinion.

The look of a ship isn't important there is a mouse wheel too help you get over the fact your Falcon isn't a beautiful ship...

Honestly though if you want more diversity in your ships fit them how you want and fly solo....

I am Caldari, I like Caldari I just wish our ships had more multi purpose roles. We are dead last when it comes to certain aspects of the game where other races seem more balanced, more "diversified". I think Caldari should be given a second look to try and bring more options and diversity to the race.


Harpy fleets.
Hawk is awesome.
kitsune and crow about to become very popular
interdictor buff should see more than just sabre around.
caracal and drake still popular pvp ships.
rlml cerberus is borderline OP and will be the goto counter for the buffed EAF's.
ravan /navy raven / golem /SNI the goto mission running ships.
drake ideal low to mid level plex runner and ideal C1-3 WH site running (from a risk /reward POV) as a daytripper.
The entire ECM line is always going to be a top priority target from opposing fleet due to its immense power.
raven fleets have been seen in null recently.
rohk fleets were always popular.
caldari ships have roles is all aspects of the game and are hugely popular as a result.
missile ships don't work for incursions but rohks are usually welcome and at least one community runs with rattlesnakes.

If it is cross training weapon systems that annoys u then pity the non caldari pilot who must train frigate level missiles for a bunch of assualt frigs/ interdictors random ships having launchers in highs and BS sized missiles for stealth bombers. at least when caldari cross train to turrets they get a lot of potential use from a big uptick in weapon platforms.


Anyway just train hybrids for ships like the Harpy and rohk. cross train gallente and with hybrid, missile and drone skills you should have most situations covered.

all kidding aside, I decided to train instead for a paladin, because LAZORS! Plus the training time is a bit shorter then trying to get into a vindicator.

Anyway, about Caldari...

Chimera is the best ship for fixing POS-es.

Blackbird is useful in small t1 cruiser gangs. It helps new players get into pvp and not lose every fight.

Nighthawk and Tengu were good for PvE... before all the nerfs that happened recently.
Golem is now the king of PvE and with Rubicon buffs + Bastion module it will become a default for many mission runners.

Rokh can be very scary in small BS gangs or even for solo PvP, as demonstrated in one of my favourite EVE PvP vids: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0FdO7pjMkY.

Rhea has the biggest cargohold of all jump freighters.

Moa is still the ugliest ship in the game (that counts for something too Big smile)

Dual Medium anci boosted Hawk is pretty decent choice for a frig fight.

And lastly, the mentioned Falcon, if you limit it to gangs of 10 players or less.


Naga is an outstanding Skirmish fleet sniper.

Regardless, Caldari are best for the Level 4's and DED Sites.

So what you're really complaining about is not how Caldari are "worst" but how heavily prefered the Amarr-Caldari, Gallente-Minmatar and Minmatar-Gallente Pirate ships are better than the Navy faction ships (which, incidentally, they're supposed to be).

Anyone want to discuss how Caldari are awesome? Can you think of one thing we are good at besides losing ships due to poor damage projection?


I could write a list but on the whole there are a lot of good PvP ships in the Caldari line up. My personal T1 favourite is the Moa which is just such a good shield brawler although I have a soft spot for the nano Caracal.

As to T2 got to go for the Cerebus, HAMs at that range are very nice and I'm a great fan of the blaster Harpy.

Offer you good corporate healthcare for choosing the right side. ;) Actually, I dislike the Caldari philosophy, but I loves the sight of missiles flying off to offer free hugs and cuddles.
